Leading communication providers, Avaya and RingCentral recently announced the arrival of the Avaya Cloud Office solution by RingCentral in Ireland. The solution will now be generally available in not just Ireland, but France and the Netherlands too. The two brands also announced that they have signed a new seven-figure deal with a government customer in the UK.
According to the Country General Manager for Avaya Ireland, Aidan Furlong (pictured, above), the commercial availability of Avaya Cloud Office highlights how hard the team is working to bring cloud-based UCaaS to SME and mid-market companies. Today, it’s more important than ever for collaboration and communication solutions to enable people to work from anywhere across a variety of devices. Businesses searching for ways to optimise remote working can put Avaya Cloud Office to work instantly and reap the benefits of a digital workforce.
Expanding the Avaya Footprint
The rapid expansion of Avaya Cloud Office follows the arrival of the offering in Canada, Australia, and the UK in June. Cloud Office appeared in the United States in March. In the last few months, the solution has seen a rapid acceleration in demand, with a wide number of new customers signed on across every country where the solution is available.
According to Research Manager of Enterprise Comms at IDC, Oru Mohiuddin, it’s more important than ever for vendors in UC&C to provide UCaaS to their customers. UCaaS is set to grow at a CAGR of around 23.3% between 2019 and 2023.
Following the recent announcement from Avaya and RingCentral, organisations in the Netherlands, France, and Ireland will benefit from a host of exciting new features, available to all Cloud Office customers. This includes migration tools, enhanced support for devices, and advanced telephony management options.
SVP of Business Transformation at Avaya, Dennis Kozak, says that Avaya Cloud Office generates massive return on investment for customers, who appreciate the reliability and flexibility the solution offers. In the last quarter, Avaya has seen a massive base of customers and partners jumping to take advantage of the UCaaS offer. As Avaya Cloud Office continues to expand, the team looks forward to empowering more customers across Europe.
Exciting UCaaS Functionality
According to Avaya, in addition to the recently announced features, customers of Avaya Cloud Office will have access to capabilities like a unified desktop app. This app reimagines the user experience for enterprise comms with a refreshed and clean design that supports productivity. The app ensures an integrated experience between video, messaging, and phone service. You can even switch between different devices during a meeting.
Other features include Avaya branded video, with a full meeting experience from a web browser with no need to download any applications. Video quality and network performance controls are also included, with custom alerts that admins can set up to proactively learn about call quality and device issues. There’s also admin and security controls which allow hosts to choose from various security options when starting, scheduling, and managing meetings.
To ensure teams are making the most of Avaya Cloud Office, users can even unlock adoption and usage analytics within the tech too. Phil Sorgen, Chief Revenue Officer, RingCentral, said that the need for cloud communications has continued to grow since Avaya Cloud Office launched in March 2020. The technology will continue to help businesses unlock the full power of a UCaaS solution going forward.
