Dubber, a market leader in voice data solutions, recently announced its decision to acquire UK mobile recording business, Speik. The acquisition, valued at $38 million will accelerate Dubber’s growth, increase its bottom line and broaden the compliance offerings available from the company.

Speik is a leading provider of PCI compliance and call recording solutions. The acquisition further enhances Dubber’s vision of dubbing the communications and network solutions of the world, placing AI solutions on every phone, and transforming the value of voice data.

Speik first emerged in the market after the merger of Voxygen Limited, and Aeriandi. Aeriandi was best known for it’s PCI compliance solutions, offered in conjunction with Gamma and Vodafone, among other service providers. Voxygen was previously supplying hardware recording solutions to Telefonica UK Limited (otherwise known as O2).

Following the purchase, Speik will continue to operate as a separate division within Dubber, serving its current customers and future clients with a range of product options enhanced by Dubber solutions.

Bringing New Functionality to Dubber

According to the CEO of Dubber, Steve McGovern, the acquisition of Speik is a crucial step forward for Dubber, providing it with a powerful range of world-class technology resources and an existing base of loyal subscribers. The Speik team is pioneering network-based mobile recording solutions with O2, which will help to increase Dubber’s footprint in the UK.

The Dubber product suite will also expand the opportunities Dubber has with other service providers too. Speik even provides PCI compliance solutions with carriers in the UK, enriching Dubber’s position as a leader in unified compliance, call recording, and voice data management.

Before the acquisition, Speik had an annual revenue of around £7 million GBP, growth every month. According to Founder and Vice Chairman of Speik, Matthew Bryars, Dubber is an obvious category leader in unified call recording solutions. Speik is thrilled to be part of the team. Together, the two brands aim to offer an unmatched solution for unified call recording on any endpoint.

An Excellent Match

As COO and Co-Founder of Dubber, James Slaney noted in the recent press release about the acquisition, Speik and Dubber have products that naturally complement each other, and blend well together. Dubber is keen to deliver new benefits to Speik’s customers by making the Dubber solution available to them, including various industry-leading solutions.

The Executive Director of the Cavell Group also commented on the Speik acquisition, saying that solution and service providers are currently racing to achieve differentiation in a growing market. Speik and Dubber’s partnership will build on the existing and impressive selection of offers for unified call recording and data management. The two companies will be able to work together to address a growing need for true compliance in the SME and enterprise market.

Dubber has acquired all of the share capital of Aeriandi and Voxygen, the two UK companies that are responsible for owning and operating the Speik business.
