Modality Brings OneConsultation to the Public Sector

Leading provider of Microsoft solutions for communication and collaboration, Modality, recently announced the arrival of OneConsultation for the Public Sector.

Back in 2020, video consultation technology became a must-have feature for all kinds of organisations. At the start of the lockdowns in March, Modality announced that care providers and NHS trusts could access OneConsultation for free, with no obligation for one month. What’s more, the service was made available within 72 hours.

Now, Modality is bringing the same OneConsultation functionality to the public sector once again, ensuring that teams can access the technology they need throughout the pandemic.

Modality’s OneConsultation Technology

The OneConsultation solution from Modality has caught the attention of public sector workers for a variety of reasons. Use cases extend all the way from providing support to children and young people in care, to dealing with police interviews, family therapy, audiology, and district nursing. Any activity that requires a secure face-to-face connection can benefit from the OneConsultation software.

Aside from hosting 346,896 group sessions and consultations throughout the year of 2020, Modality was also responsible for powering over 735 years of video. The system also sent an incredible 15,826 SMS messages to patients and clients about upcoming consultations and group meetings.

The offer for public sector companies ensures that they can access all the features of Modality OneConsultation for free for a period of up to 1 month.

In 2020, the Humberside Police Force took advantage of this offer to provide video consultation to victims of crime during the pandemic. The Deputy Chief Constable of Humberside Police, Chris Rowley, said that the video system helps to ease worries about giving statements. People can provide information to the police in a safe environment through the web. Rowley noted that other tech companies should be stepping forward to offer similar solutions.

Maintaining the Modality Offer

According to Modality Product Manager, Tom Scott, when the offer first emerged in March, Modality was overwhelmed by the number of enquiries it got. Later, as the offer expanded from NHS trusts and care to other areas of the public sector, they saw another spike in demand. Modality discovered that OneConsultation could address a wide selection of use cases for many customers.

According to Scott, the team is now delighted to begin expanding this offer to all the organisations in the UK public sector for as long as the pandemic lasts. Modality hopes to help everyone make it through the pandemic.
