A lot has been written over the past year regarding the hybrid work environment, forcing companies to communicate and collaborate remotely, boosting the use of UC&C technologies. A not-often-referred-to sector, however, is the one of creative agencies, or any design-related businesses for that matter. For those companies, the ability to brainstorm and collaborate freely among team members and clients is an absolute must.
As AV integrators providing complete solutions for corporate meeting rooms, Pioneer Group has quite a lot of experience with clients in the creative field. Louise McHugh, Google Account Executive at Pioneer Group, believes using the correct hardware and software is key for design-related hybrid work scenarios.
“As authorized resellers of various hardware and software solutions, we get to see up-close the significant contribution they have to creative agencies,” explains McHugh.
“Retail design agencies take a collaborative approach to projects, which naturally involves team members brainstorming with one another. Technologies allowing sharing ideas are an incredibly important tool within this process.”
The Right Software
Having the right software is undoubtedly essential when having to brainstorm remotely. As an accredited Google Partner and an authorised reseller of Google Meet hardware and software, Pioneer Group has quite a few insights to offer in this department.
“In our experience, the Google Meet platform is a great fit for remote brainstorming sessions, as you can access it anywhere, as long as you’ve got internet,” says McHugh.
The Google app allows a large number of participants per-meeting; provides each meeting with a unique dial-in phone number; and has a tap-to-join capability from within Google Calendar. On top of all that, Hangout Meets offers the capability to participate in Meet sessions even if one is using a different UC platform, making collab even easier.
Other than Meet, Pioneer also resells other Google software licenses that can be of use to creative agencies.
“As Google’s apps are all integrated with one another, it creates a seamless collaboration experience. Also, the live tracking in Google Drive allows a number of people to work on the same document simultaneously, rather than having to save it and send it around. When it comes to designing adverts, for example, this is highly beneficial“
The Right Hardware
In the hardware department, Pioneer resell a popular Google solution that was pretty much made for creative brainstorming under a pandemic: the Google Jamboard. Boasting a 55″ 4K digital whiteboard, Google Jamboard is the ideal tool to revive and make the most out of creative brainstorming sessions.
Jamboard allows real-time co-authoring of sketches, designs, concepts and what not – whether participants share a meeting room or are spread out across different locations. This way, remote team members or clients get to be fully included in the creative process and contribute to it from their own personal devices. Jamboard is fully integrated with Hangouts Meet, as well as with Google Drive, which allows continuing collaboration on a project after a session is over.
“What makes Jamboard so special is that it allows sessions from multiple offices and different stakeholders to be involved in the creative process,” notes McHugh.
Pioneer is also a certified reseller of Asus hardware kits, providing quick and simple one-touch, HD video conferencing along with strong processing capabilities. All of those are essential for design-related remote collaboration, where visual quality is critical.
“For creative agencies, being able to quickly share and discuss ideas between teams and with clients is massively important. Plus, having high-quality video to be able to show off their designs, concepts and renders is crucial,” says McHugh.
“Whether we’re talking about global agencies with offices all around the world, or local agencies having to adapt to the new hybrid work environment – they need both hardware and software suited to their needs so they can communicate quickly, anytime, anywhere, and reach optimal results.”
