Microsoft UK has named Orla McGrath as the new boss of its Partner organisation.
McGrath most recently lead the Salesforce business at Accenture and was the Managing Director of its UK&I Cloud First Applications unit prior to that.
“Joining Microsoft to lead the UK partner organisation is such an amazing opportunity,” stated McGrath.
“I am excited to help shape Microsoft’s partner ecosystem for the benefit of our customers and society more broadly. I couldn’t think of a more exciting and challenging opportunity.”
Microsoft UK’s long-serving partner boss Joe Macri retired from the role in December 2020.
Also joining the tech giant’s UK leadership team is Soraya Scott as its new Chief Operating Officer. Scott has been with Microsoft for 13 years, most recently serving as the Chief of Staff to Jean-Philippe Courtois, EVP and President of Global Sales, Marketing and Operations.
“I am thrilled to be joining Microsoft UK. I have seen the impact that Microsoft has on countries and communities when we all come together and bring the very best that we have to offer for our customers and partners,” said Scott.
“I’m looking forward to playing a pivotal role in supporting our customers and partner, driving cloud growth and delivering on our strategic priorities.”
Clare Barclay, Chief Executive Officer at Microsoft UK, said: “I am delighted to welcome Orla and Soraya to the Microsoft UK leadership team.
“We are at an important inflection point in the UK market, so I am excited about the depth of global experience and leadership capability both Orla and Soraya bring, and they will both play a critical role in driving the future success in the UK with our customers and partners.”
