Leeds-based The Technology Group (TTG) has been acquired by private equity firm Chiltern Capital for an undisclosed sum.

Chiltern also owns fellow 3CX Titanium Partner Gradwell Communications and both managed service providers will retain their respective brand identities in the enlarged group. TTG will continue to focus on the direct mi-market business and continue to design, install and operate its own fully managed UCaaS solution on the 3CX platform.  Its addition will nearly double the size of the group.

Meanwhile, Gradwell will transition to a “100 per cent” channel business, focus on SMB and will continue to concentrate on selling services on its own Wave platform, as well as its Direct Routing for Teams.

Gradwell CEO, Simon Curry, will lead the combined group.

“TTG is a great strategic fit for Gradwell and gives the group clear capabilities to expertly provision and service larger customers with more sophisticated requirements,” he stated.

Jonathan Marsden, Founder and CEO of TTG, will retain an investment in the combined group and continue to head up the business.

“I’m delighted to be working with Chiltern and Gradwell, who share our vision and philosophy for the business in this next exciting chapter ahead,” he said.

Chairman, Mark Howling, commented:

“Gradwell has a long history of delivering cloud-first services to small businesses through the channelThis investment with TTG means that Gradwell can really focus on delivering a great experience for partners and their customers within the channel.

With the two businesses working together, the group will be able to address a larger part of the UCaaS market, servicing small, medium and large customers in the most appropriate manner. The cultures are also very similar, with a strong focus on customer service, and I am confident that the organisations will work well together.”
