Evolve IP’s One Platform solution offers the flexibility and international scope that organisations need as hybrid working looks set to become a permanent fixture.

One Platform is an agnostic solution that caters to a customer’s needs, regardless of whether their primary collaboration platform is Microsoft Teams or Cisco Webex, and can scale according to the organisation’s size.

Adrian Penny, Senior Technical Account Manager at Evolve IP, told UC Today that the “beauty” of the solution is that it is a simple, unified platform that encompasses two of the most popular collaboration platforms on the market.

“You have your core telephony on one platform, and you can plug whatever you want into it,” he said.

“You can bring voice to Microsoft Teams or Cisco Webex by having that one account on one platform, which then powers the voice into those different applications. We’re not competing with the collaboration tools, we’re complementing them, you’ve got the best of breed collaboration platforms.”

At the outset of the pandemic when many organisations shifted their employees to remote working quickly, many got locked into collaboration platforms and services that didn’t fulfil their requirements, said Evolve IP’s Managing Director, Paul Harrison.

“With One Platform you can choose whichever collaboration platform you want, and we’ll be the voice provider behind it,” he stated.

“But sometimes you can get locked into a platform and it may not be right for your business or your customers’. Most people had a knee-jerk reaction because of the pandemic and now they are saying ‘We need to do this properly; we need a provider that can give us international reach and the integration we want’.

“They don’t want to be forever locked into one platform; they might start with Microsoft Teams but may end up on Cisco Webex. We offer that flexibility, as well as security and a global footprint”

Evolve IP’s offering is live in 48 countries and has reach into 73 countries, providing organisations with one global service provider, rather than having one in each country in which they operate.

The One Platform solution is white labelled and can be sold through Evolve IP’s channel partners. It offers customer organisations scalability, from one user to over 10,000. The offering is focused on Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex because they are the most popular among SMBs and enterprise organisations, respectively.

“It scales, and the features and functionality in the core platform can address the requirements for different markets. It’s really key that we can do that with a single platform behind it,” added Penny.

As organisations transition to a hybrid working model – employees spending part of the week in the office and the other part working remotely – One Platform provides a simplified solution that gives employees one point of contact that can be used in any location.

“You can communicate anywhere you are,” stated Harrison.

“The way you work and how you work doesn’t change if you’re in a hybrid environment – you are using the same tool, same way to communicate and there’s no fixed telephony involved. It’s one number, one platform, one account – it’s as simple as that”
