Digital Wholesale Solutions (DWS) has appointed Andy Boland as Chief Financial Officer.
Boland most recently held the role of CEO at Addison Lee Group, a position he held for five years. Prior to his time at Addison Lee, Boland served as CFO at the Automobile Association (AA) for six years, during which he led the refinancing of the business which culminated in its sale via an IPO with an enterprise value of £4.5bn in 2014.
Terry O’Brien, CEO of DWS, stated:
“I’m thrilled to welcome Andy to the DWS team. We are an energetic, high growth, innovative company operating in a dynamic market, and I know that Andy will fit in quickly and have an immediate impact. His vast experience working in both private equity and public market backed businesses will be invaluable to us as we embark on the next exciting chapter of our story”
Boland’s appointment follows hot on the heels of the additions of former Sage boss Paul Walker and ex-Deloitte exec Damian Sanders as independent non-executive directors to the DWS board.
DWS sells IT and communications solutions to channel partners. It demerged from Daisy Group in January of this year, supported by a strategic partnership with private equity house Inflexion.
“DWS has an incredible opportunity ahead,” stated Boland.
“It has a compelling proposition, occupying a strategic, differentiated position in a market undergoing significant disruption and with a real focus on its partners, people, and culture. I am really looking forward to getting to work and being part of a big UK success story.”
