According to Head of IT operations at Transcosmos Information Systems, Tony Froder, his employees currently live in 8×8 Work to collaborate, commute, and engage with colleagues across a range of operational teams and centres. As their centralised solution for meetings, the 8×8 is already a powerful tool for the company, and the new enhancements should significantly boost team performance. Support for 500 meeting participants also promises to benefit global service and support centers while improving the reach of quality and service teams.

The Latest Features from 8×8 XCaaS

The 8×8 XCaaS platform builds on the 8×8 Experience Communications platform, a cloud technology platform built for customer and employee engagement, with fully integrated video meetings, voice, contact centre, team chat, and embedded APIs. Features include:

  • Better video meetings: The 8×8 Work solution now handles up to 500 active desktop users in one meeting, with the ability to collaborate through shared screens, audio, and video. Additionally, expanded access will now include more endpoints, allowing attendees to join 8×8 video meetings and share content from huddle rooms, even with legacy SIP devices
  • Deeper integrations with Microsoft Teams: Stronger integrations with Microsoft Teams will deliver visibility across the organisation with the 8×8 Presence Sync feature. This solution will be updated in real-time, with visibility in 8×8 Contact Centre, and 8×8 Work. The 8×8 Voice for Microsoft Teams direct routing offering will also support employees in sending and receiving SMS, MMS, and fax messaging from any Teams native interface
  • Enhanced workforce mobility: Boosted mobility include a new option to share content from mobile devices when accessing the 8×8 Work app. The app will also support “tap to reply” directly from the notification section of their device. What’s more, the 8×8 Work app for mobile can transfer active calls and provide information on the call for added context, and users can share voicemails with other users using 8×8 Work Mobile
