Change is unpopular, but it heralds opportunities.

For Avaya Aura 8 users, that change – or opportunity – will be on 13th December 2021. New orders for Avaya Aura 8 will cease. Whilst additional licenses will be available to existing customers until December 2022, current perpetual licenses with Secure Access or Upgrade Advantage maintenance will be on subscription.

The alternative is an upgrade to an Avaya Aura 10 subscription or migration to a platform, such as Teams. But that can be complex. Especially for businesses with offices in multiple territories.

According to Tony Parish, CEO at Aura, “for Avaya Aura 8 customers, we can provide 3 options:  First is to continue with Avaya Aura 8, which we can support until it becomes redundant. Second is an upgrade to Avaya Aura 10. Third is migration to a new platform. We’ll move at a pace that suits you, integrating systems while you migrate, be they Microsoft Teams or Zoom.”

Avaya Aura 10 will be subscription-only, with longer commitments. Previous versions will no longer be supported.

Parish points out: “we’ve been supporting Avaya and other customers globally for 30 years in 120 countries. We have expertise covering multiple vendors, so we can help you make the best choice for your organization.”

Changing platforms usually involves a learning curve, so upgrading to Avaya Aura 10 maybe an easy, natural decision.

But might that require new hardware and additional virtual resource support?

According to Tony Parish “Aura can reduce your risk of migrating to Avaya Aura 10, by stabilizing your existing estate to support the next stage of your communications strategy. We offer migration and support services. This ensures you’re getting the most out of your investment.”

For some organisations, could Avaya Aura 8’s End of Sale be a perfect opportunity to make the switch from Avaya to Teams or another platform?

“For those considering switching, we can audit your service, ensuring you only upgrade to what you need and use. This reduces switching costs,” says Parish. “We can help you assess if you’re better off moving to a platform that supports your future strategy, rather than committing to another long-term contract with Avaya.”

Still not sure?

“There’s no rush!” claims Parish. “With over 30 years of servicing and supporting Avaya customers globally, we help you make the best-informed choice for your organization, regardless of vendor and geography.”

“Whether you want to stick with Avaya or make the switch, Aura reduces your risks. We simplify management and provide vital analysis of your systems to ensure you’re only paying for what you need, whether your systems are legacy or from multiple vendors”

Anything else?

“Sure. We specialise in multiple vendor integration, with single standard SLAs across territories. Customers receive one invoice and have one single point of contact. Our customers have overall visibility of their infrastructure, saving on licenses, services and software they don’t use.”

Roll on 13th December – luckily, it’s a Monday.
