Easier, slicker, faster, better – why wouldn’t you?

After all, even when something works brilliantly, it’s always good to add improvements where possible.

It’s why ever-evolving technology continues to enhance the way the world communicates.

And it’s why innovation continues to be the most powerful force in the relentless quest for excellence.

Take Cisco’s Webex Meetings solution.

Used by millions around the world, it offers secure, integrated audio, video, and content sharing from any device, anywhere – all controlled from its smart, user-friendly Touch 10 control panel.

But – thanks to Cisco add-on innovators telisca – it just got better.

“Virtual collaboration is now something many of us indulge in every day, often multiple times a day, so the constant drive for improvement is inevitable and hugely beneficial,” says telisca business development head Ben Djamaluddin.

“The market is maturing rapidly with Microsoft Teams and Zoom and others all contributing towards an increasingly competitive landscape.

“For Cisco Webex users, we have brought new functionality and improved user experience in ways which enrich the collaborative process and ultimately drive positive outcomes.

“For our reseller partners and their end user customers, it is about understanding how that translates into opportunities to embrace transformational innovation and leverage it in ways which deliver tangible growth”

Deployed via the Cisco Touch 10 control panel and benefitting from Cisco collaboration endpoint APIs, telisca’s application tweaks the already-brilliant platform to layer-on sophisticated and convenient meeting room management capability.

Included in telisca-hosted service bundles with a five-user licence, it features ‘One Button to Push’ (OBTP) functionality which quickly and easily allows users to synchronise with and join calendar meetings booked in Microsoft Exchange.

It integrates with users’ IPS Global Directory, enabling quick and easy contact searching from the panel and the single-click dialling of an audio or video call.

It enables users to display bookings for selected meeting rooms on selected dates; book available meeting rooms and send participant invites.

It also enables the speed dialling via the control panel of other video endpoint or IP phones, for example IT support.

And, at the conclusion of a video conference, it pushes a user satisfaction survey to participants and then collects and presents the results.

Finally, it provides usage statistics, searchable by date, site, end point model, number of participants and duration; presented via the user interface in the form of engaging reports and graphics.

“These are subtle yet significant additions to existing functionality that are focused fully on delivering a slick, seamless and satisfying user experience,” says Djamaluddin.

“Those are the criteria on which much of today’s modern communication and collaboration tools are judged, and rightly so.

“People expect the same experience with their business tools as they receive from those they use in their personal lives. They want ‘One Button to Push’ simplicity; they want frictionless integration and synchronisation between all of the key technologies in their life; and they want it offered to them in an intuitive, easy-on-the eye format.

“We believe passionately in permanently listening to the market and responding to its ever-present appetite for the new, the different and the better.

“It’s why we are excited to be innovating in such dynamic ways and to be providing our customers and partners with easy-to-access solutions that can contribute so tangibly to the success of their enterprises”
