Lifesize has launched Lifesize Connect Plus, which facilitates hybrid video meetings from a single computing device.
The new Device Software Subscription (DDS) feature provides advanced functionality and support for its 4K Lifesize Cloud Room hardware, building on the capabilities of Lifesize Connect.
The solution enables the Icon 300/500/700 conferencing hardware series to connect to Microsoft Teams or Zoom without needing a second device such as a laptop or tablet.

Trent Waterhouse, CEO of Lifesize, said: “Hybrid work environments are here to stay, as businesses continue to embrace flexible work options.
“Lifesize recognizes work is no longer a place. Our technology makes it easy for people to work together, whether at home or in the office.”
Additional benefits of the feature, outlined by Lifesize, include support being available for Linux desktop apps from a selection of providers and the Lifesize 4K meeting experience.
The feature does not require existing Lifesize hardware to be replaced.
The Device Software Subscription (DDS) upgrade is available for existing Lifesize customers, adding multivendor connectivity to their platforms.
According to Lifesize, video conferencing is one of the most effective methods of communication, but collaborating on multiple applications and cloud services can cause network problems.
Lifesize Connect Plus+ is the solution that Lifesize says will make multivendor meetings easier and result in fewer connectivity issues and other technological problems.
Founded in 2003, Lifesize claims to have created the world’s first high-definition video meetings and cloud-based contact centres with millions of users via channel partners across more than 100 countries.
The release of Lifesize Connect Plus+ is another in a long line of new updates and video collaboration features.
One of the biggest influences on Lifesize’s meeting experiences, including virtual whiteboarding technology, has come through its acquisition of Kaptivo.
