Mondago – a leading provider of unified communications integrations with CRM solutions – has announced that it has recently received approval for an IM1 pairing (the official NHS integration process) with EMIS from NHS Digital. The integration will initially be available with the next release of its Go Integrator Cara and Go Integrator Nava desktop clients for the Cisco BroadWorks and NetSapiens platforms respectively.
The update will enable surgeries to integrate EMIS with Mondago’s next-generation desktop clients to provide a faster, more efficient, and more responsive service to their patients. Their arrival is excellent news, both for busy practices that already use EMIS and the partners that support them, Nick Hawes, Product Manager at Mondago told UC Today.
“Several of our partners and their customers had asked if we had plans to deliver a version of our solution for EMIS. We’ve responded by providing a close integration with our latest desktop solutions, and we expect uptake to be swift as the benefits for GP surgeries and other healthcare organisations that use EMIS are enormous”
A better experience
Where EMIS is used with Go Integrator, information about the patient will be popped onto the screen even before the receptionist or agent has picked up an incoming call. “It means they can make better, more nuanced responses and forward the call faster and to the right individual. That’s going to translate into a better experience for the patient and faster, more efficient handling of calls,” said Hawes.
In addition, Go Integrator comes with slick CTI features such as click to dial, call control, and presence capabilities. It’s already a well-established and trusted solution. The UK-based company has a global reach with offices in Europe and North America. A significant number of partners of the world’s leading service providers are using the solution.
Go Integrator also integrates with many other popular CRM and call management applications – and plenty that are not as well known. The list includes all the world’s top CRM players and many solutions targeted at specific markets, such as healthcare. In total, Mondago has integrated its solution with over 320 applications, and EMIS is another significant addition to that list.
Mondago plan to make the integration available on other telephony platforms in their portfolio in due course.
Rapid integration
Mondago is constantly writing new integrations in response to partner and customer requests – and it never takes long for the work to be done, said Hawes. “While the integration with EMIS has been slightly more involved due to the regulatory requirements of UK we health sector, we have advanced APIs and a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw upon. We can usually complete an integration within weeks.”
Requests are always associated with an identifiable opportunity, either with potential new customers or – as it is with EMIS – an established group of customers who are eager to adopt Go Integrator and the benefits the integration with EMIS will deliver.
Either way, there will always be immediate and identifiable potential for partners. “When we release a new integration there are always benefits for end-customers and opportunities for partners. At the same time, it makes those customers ‘stickier’ for partners, gives them additional value to offer, and a way to attract new customers.”
While the integration of Go Integrator with EMIS is obviously specific to the UK healthcare sector, Hawes said that the company is receptive to any suitable proposition, in any territory and any market sector. Or indeed, whether the partner is already engaged or new to Mondago. “We’re always ready to explore new opportunities – from new as well as current partners – and to provide the support and training required to ensure they can get their Go Integrator business moving.”
