Babble Announces Further Expansion with Another Double Acquisition

Babble has announced a double acquisition allowing the British comms company to expand into Yorkshire and Essex.

The latest acquisitions mean that Babble will take over ADSI and Yorkshire Telecoms, as well as its subsidiary, Biscuit IT.

When finalised, it will take Babble to 20 acquisitions since 2018, with nine occurring between 2020 and 2021.

Matt ParkerBabble CEO, said: “Acquiring Yorkshire Telecom and ADSI is a real win for us. Their customers are exciting, growing businesses with big ambitions and, aside from our own, are some of the most satisfied I’ve ever seen, which is a huge credit to them.

“Yorkshire Telecom’s and Biscuit IT’s specialism of Comms and Cyber and ADSI’s excellent Mobile platform are areas where we feel we can add exceptional value for the businesses they serve.

“Making sure their customers continue to receive the same level of service will be our top priority throughout the onboarding process.

“We know our success depends upon us continuing to provide our clients with the personalised and local service that they expect, regardless of where they are in the country.

“That’s what has taken us to where we are now, and it’s something we’ll never lose sight of.”

Yorkshire Telecom and Biscuit IT serve 390 customers in a range of sectors such as communication and cyber offerings to growing, mid-size companies.

ADSI currently has 4,650 customers across the South-East of England and London, as well as 30,000 O2 mobile connections.

The acquisition means that Babble’s Mobile division will make them the UK’s second largest O2 dealer.

All members of staff from both acquisitions will join Babble, with Phill Burke, Yorkshire Telecom Managing Director, and Adrian Spreadborough, ADSI CEO, remaining in a consultancy capacity to ensure a smooth transition.

Phill Burke commented: “Supporting businesses and their individual communication requirements has always been a priority for us and we can’t wait to take that further with Babble to help our customers achieve their highest potential.

“We’re very excited to be joining Babble and to be able to offer our customers even more.”

The acquisitions mean that Babble now has a presence across Scotland, the North-East of England, the North-West of England, Yorkshire, the Midlands, the South of England and London.

Adrian Spreadborough, ADSI CEO, added: “Together, Babble and ADSI will be a formidable force.

“I’m incredibly proud of what our team has already achieved, but I know that with our combined resources and our joint commitment to providing a personalised service, we can do even better when it comes to empowering our customers.”

Earlier this year, Babble expanded into the North-West of England by acquiring comms provider Active.

Active has more than 500 customers and specialises in unified communications, mobile, cybersecurity and connectivity.

According to Babble, the company is aiming to become the UK’s largest provider of cloud services, and these acquisitions mean that Babble will now service almost 5,500 UK businesses.
