Schurz is offering UC services with Alianza’s cloud communications platform to simplify operations and generate new UCaaS revenue streams for its customer base.

The communication technology corporation, Schurz Communications, has created these UC services for its Antietam Broadband and Orbitel customers, as well as to attract new customers.

Alianza’s Business Cloud Communications and Business Text Messaging are the core technologies underpinning the service offering.

Tom Williams, Chief Technology Officer for Schurz Communications, said: “Going with Alianza to help us expand our service offerings and the addressable market was an easy, clear-cut decision.

“On top of Alianza’s scalable, reliable, easy-to-manage and deploy cloud communications platform — which will allow us to help our customers as they embark on their digital and cloud communications transformations — Alianza was clearly committed to enabling our success.

“They took the time to fully learn and understand our business and provided us with comprehensive support during the deployment phase and beyond.

“In addition to the innovative technology Alianza delivers, they also provide us with compelling go-to-market and sales enablement strategies and materials, which will further support our growth objectives.”

The solution allows its customers to meet, chat, talk, and share using extension-to-extension dialling, auto-attendants, calling plans, call handling features, collaboration tools for screen sharing, video conferencing, and team messaging.

Alianza’s Cymbus softphone app enables Schurz to spread its functionality to devices, including tablets, smartphones, and PCs, facilitating hybrid working options.

Schurz will be launching its first MSS and SMS solution to help its customers meet their end users on their mobiles.

Alianza’s Business Text Messaging can send SMS and MMS messages using local, toll-free, or voice-over-internet-protocol.

A number of customer interactions can be leveraged using SMS and MMS messaging, such as responding to inquiries, automating answers, scheduling campaigns, event promotion, reminders, and more.

Schurz says it was responding to customer demands for voice-first UC services from trusted broadband providers. In its search for the best solution, Schurz applied created a list of important factors to be included in the solution.

It determined that carrier-grade reliability and security, as well as simplicity, flexibility and scalability, were key. Other essentials were a customer success team with a proven track record, go-to-market support, sales enablement, the ability to support sales providers to compete against over-the-top providers

Shurz chose to use Alianza’s platform after comparing its performance against its search criteria and other competitors.

Camille Issa, Vice President of Sales for Alianza, said: “This agreement with Schurz Communications is a great example of how Alianza’s flexible cloud communications platform enables service providers to quickly and easily launch new high-margin, high-value unified communication services.

“Schurz is committed to bringing its customers the latest communications services available today, backed by world-class customer service and support.

“We are proud to be working with Schurz to expand its revenue stream and allow it to compete with OTT providers, helping Schurz strengthen the already strong, trusted relationships it has with its customers.”

Schurz Communications is a family-owned corporation that previously operated in radio, television, and newspaper publishing.
