Amdocs Accelerates Vodafone Germany’s Digital Transformation

Amdocs and Vodafone Germany deepen collaboration ties as Amdocs assists the technology operator’s digital transformation efforts.

As part of the company’s digital transformation, Amdocs aims to improve Vodafone Germany’s operational efficiency and customer experience.

The software and services provider, Amdocs, initially entered into an agreement with Vodafone Germany in 2019, which led to the implementation of a scalable, cloud–native technology solution at Vodafone Germany.

Ralf Hellebrand, Programme Director, Technology at Vodafone Germany, said:

“Our digital transformation is building momentum, as we embrace cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in order to future-proof our operations and provide our customers with a world-class, unified experience.

“Reaching the production stage with our first live customers following our initial transformation programme with Amdocs is a significant milestone, and we’re excited to be deepening our collaboration.”

The new deal will see teams from both companies work together to install and run a new digital stack.

The purpose of the stack will be to unify and consolidate technology across Vodafone Germany’s various business avenues.

According to Amdocs, they will be using a DevOps approach to create a fully automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

The end result is to facilitate daily deployments in step with a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) operating model.

Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy at Amdocs, said: “We’re delighted to be strengthening and expanding our collaboration with Vodafone Germany as we deliver tangible value on their journey to seamless customer experiences.

“This agreement exemplifies how we are delivering value to our customers as they innovate around new and exciting connectivity services.”

Amdocs provides communications and media experiences for individual end users and enterprise customers.

The company has 31,000 employees worldwide who it says work to bring service providers to the cloud, differentiate, digitalise, and automate their operations.

Amdocs is listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market, and it had a revenue of $4.3 billion in 2021.
