New Cloud Phone and Platform Capabilities Coming to RingCentral

RingCentral has confirmed several innovations are coming to its business cloud phone system and its unified business communications platform.

The features are designed to help organisations of all sizes unlock cost-saving business benefits and deliver new operational efficiencies.

According to RingCentral, the new capabilities will allow customers to improve their workstreams by reducing app switching, create custom workflows and help automate menial tasks.

Kira Makagon, Chief Innovation Officer at RingCentral, said: “Core to successfully enabling hybrid work is providing your people with the right communications and collaboration tools when and where they need them.

“At RingCentral, we’re focused on delivering the best-connected experiences across the varying working styles, locations, and technologies to reduce operational inefficiencies and enable people to effortlessly connect with customers, teams, and everyone in between.”

For RingCentral’s business cloud phone system, the company will be helping Salesforce customers to do more with RingCentral’s Salesforce integration enhancements.

Users will be able to conduct a warm transfer which enables them to first speak to whoever is receiving the transfer call to provide context and ensure the call is more productive.

RingCentral has also added advanced phone capabilities, which are designed to simplify the experience for end-users and IT admins.

Users can forward business calls to another extension, voicemail or shared line with a single click when going on a break or annual leave.

Employees can call pre-programmed numbers as soon as the phone is off the hook, or lines can be locked down within particular sites so users can only make and receive calls to numbers designated by emergency services.

Users can find additional support, such as instructional videos, documents and overviews, on the new features using the Resource Center tool built into the RingCentral app.

RingCentral now offers users access to more apps within the RingCentral app to save time with easier app-switching.

The company added Google Drive, Google Forms, HubSpot, Zendesk, Trello, Poll, and Auto-reply assistant.

RingCentral has confirmed that the features are now available to users.
