What’s New at Workplace? August 2022 Update

Workplace from Meta has announced new products and feature releases this month.

The releases included new customisation functionality for Knowledge Library and a Draft For tab on the home menu.

The online collaboration software tool, Workplace from Meta, provides monthly updates of its latest innovations.

Customisations for Knowledge Library

Workplace from Meta has added customisation capabilities to Knowledge Library home, Knowledge Library navigation, and collections.

The Knowledge Library home page can now be customised by admins who can choose the categories and collections in which they would like to be featured. ‘Priority’ categories are being replaced by these featured categories.

Users can customise their Knowledge Library by pinning categories and subcategories to the left-hand navigation, making them easier to access in the future.

Whilst editing collections, admins are able to change the files and links without having to delete them.

The Workplace Knowledge Library enables users to create a single hub for organisational resources, including travel policies, employee handbooks, onboarding materials, company mission, values, guidelines, department resources, and more.

Draft For tab on the Home menu

The Draft For tab has been added to the Home menu to allow authors and drafters to manage their Draft For posts from the same place.

Executives will receive notifications, sending them to the Draft For tab, when a post is submitted for their approval.

Authors and drafters can manage executive drafts written on their behalf or on behalf of executives.

New functionality has been added for drafters, enabling them to schedule posts for publishing, recall, edit, or delete posts after they have been sent for approval and save posts as a draft.

Drafters can also create Draft For posts for any of their assigned authors without needing to visit individual groups to draft and send posts for approval.

According to Workspace from Meta, Draft For posts can be created in five steps. First, navigate to Draft For from the Home menu.

Second, click the +New Draft option. Third, choose the group you would like to post in and the author.

Fourth, enter the content you wish to add. Fifth, click the Submit button to send the draft for approval.
