Jabra Releases Earbuds Designed for Remote Working

Jabra has expanded its Connect line by unveiling the Jabra Connect 5t wireless earbuds designed for remote working.

The product joins the Connect 4h, a flexible headset, and the Connect 4s, a portable speakerphone, in the Connect series as Jabra sets its sights on delivering the right technology for those working at home.

The company promises that the Connect 5t will be a “sound remote-working companion” as it boasts six-microphone call technology.

It means there is one for your voice, wind reduction, internal voice pickup, and another three external mics that are active all the time.

Calum MacDougall, SVP at Jabra, said: “We all know the pains of having poor audio quality on calls or from being in a noisy environment.

“Our vision for the Jabra Connect line is guided by our desire for people to look and sound professional no matter where they are at home.

“Everyone should have the freedom and ability to work on the go, so the Connect 5t is a perfect addition to empower people.”

According to Jabra’s Hybrid Ways of Working 2022 Global Report, 57 per cent of employees said they opted for a flexible working model while 28% per cent are fully remote.

As a result, Jabra has designed the Connect 5t to have seven hours of battery life with a total of 28 hours in the Qi-certified wireless charging case and pad.

The fast charge features mean users can gain an hour of power within ten minutes to ensure that remote workers can use them throughout their working day.

The Connect 5t lets users connect to two devices simultaneously, such as a laptop and smartphone, due to its Bluetooth Multipoint feature.

The earbuds are compatible with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair to allow the earbuds to connect to a device in seconds.

Jabra says the Connect 5t is available for £169.99 from selected electronics retailers, Jabra.co.uk and Amazon.

The company recently announced a collaboration with Lenovo to offer a hybrid working meeting room system optimised for use with Microsoft Teams Rooms.

The room system comprises the Jabra PanaCast 50 and the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core Kit.

The solution has been designed to enable companies to easily convert their conference rooms into hybrid workplaces with collaboration and productivity capabilities.

Jabra also participated in a UC Today round table discussion on endpoints for hybrid working at the end of June.
