Yealink Appoints Midwich as a UK Product Distributor

Midwich has been appointed by Yealink as a UK distributor for its Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions.

The partnership means that Yealink’s video conferencing solutions are available to Midwich customers in the UK and Ireland.

Yealink’s products available through Midwich include the A20 and A30 meeting bars, the UVC all-in-one video bar range, and the MVC range for Microsoft Teams Rooms.

Ross Floyd, division director at Midwich, said: “We are thrilled to add Yealink’s VC range of products to our formidable portfolio of UC&C solutions across the UK&I.

“With more and more companies choosing a hybrid working model, the ability to stay connected and to communicate efficiently with your colleagues and customers across environments is a must.

“Yealink’s video conferencing solutions help organisations to overcome the challenges associated with physical distance while improving communications and collaboration between members both internally and externally.

“This addition bolsters our offering of a complete workspace collaboration solution for resellers from Midwich.”

Midwich has stated that its channel partners can look at Yealink’s product range at the company’s flagship event, Tech Xpo, on October 5 and 6 at Ascot Racecourse.

The partnership with Midwich gives Yealink a foothold to bring its product range to the UK market as it aims to take its brand to another level.

Maggie Liu, director of EMEA at Yealink, added: “Yealink has always made ‘Easy Collaboration, High Productivity’ to be the corporate mission.

“As one of the fastest growing markets in the unified communication and collaboration industry, the United Kingdom has always been one of the strategic goals of the company.

“In the past 10 years, Yealink has been carrying out this mission and bringing more efficient and high-quality products to the UK market, which has received praise from all walks of life.

“This time, the partnership with Midwich, a value-added partner, will take Yealink as a global-leading brand to another level.

“Yealink is excited to work with Midwich; this partnership will also provide more powerful motivation for Yealink to become one of the world’s leading providers of Unified Communication & Collaboration Solutions.”

Midwich is a specialist AV distributor with operations in the UK, Ireland, EMEA, Asia Pacific and North America.

The company has relationships with over 600 vendors to offer a comprehensive product portfolio across major audio-visual categories.

Earlier this year, Midwich acquired Nimans for £27.5m as the company looked to grow its UC offering.

Midwich said it would pay £16.5m cash upfront for the business, with two fixed instalments of £5.5m to follow over the next two years.

Midwich has been very acquisitive over the recent years, making acquisitions across Europe and North America.
