Google has expanded the capabilities of its Workspace Individual platform by adding several features to help solo business owners around the world.
The company has increased the cloud storage capacity, advanced email personalisation and made the platform available in new global regions.
Google hopes that the changes will allow solo business owners to improve the experience for themselves, their customers, and their partners.
Increased Storage
Currently, Google Workspace Individual users only have access to 15GB of cloud storage.
Google has announced that it will soon be upgrading every account to 1TB of storage in an automatic update, meaning users will not have to make any adjustments.
The company said that it recognises that as businesses grow, it is “only natural” users will have more docs, data, and digital assets to manage and store.
Expanding Global Regions
When Google launched the Workspace Individual platform last year, it was only available to customers in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan and Australia.
In August 2022, Google announced that the platform had been expanded to Europe, with users in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Switzerland all able to have access.
The company has confirmed in its most recent update that Workspace Individual is being expanded in Europe and South America, plus available for the first time in Asia.
Users in the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Argentina, the Phillippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand can deploy Workspace Individual.
Mail Merge
Google’s “multi-send mode” allows users to quickly email many recipients while maintaining their privacy which is perfect for sending newsletters and announcements.
With mail merge coming to Workspace Individual, users can tag with things such as “@firstname” to multi-send emails.
This means that each recipient can receive a unique email that feels crafted just for them.
