Lenovo and AVer Join Forces on Teams Rooms Connectivity System

Lenovo and AVer have joined forces to create a hybrid meeting room connectivity solution certified for Microsoft Teams.

The solution includes the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core and Controller, plus two camera options from AVer for different room sizes, such as the VB130 for small rooms and the VC520 Pro2 for medium to large rooms.

The plug-and-play bundles offer seamless collaboration between business meeting spaces and remote offices.

Rene Buhay, SVP of Sales and Marketing at AVer Europe, said: “The collaboration between AVer and Lenovo provides an unprecedented Pro-AV solution for business.

“The certification of the room-ready bundle by Microsoft for MS Teams underpins its suitability in helping businesses to work more efficiently by offering seamless hybrid meeting functionality.”

AVer’s VB130 is an all-in-one soundbar with a wide-angle 4k camera and a beamforming microphone that uses AI to deliver audio tracking, audio fencing, and auto-tracking functionality to create a hands-free meeting experience in small rooms.

The VC520 Pro2, AVer’s premium conferencing system, comes with a 24X total zoom, AVer SmartFrame, a single USB installation for audio and video, and an expandable speakerphone solution.

Both devices allow for third-party integration via VISCA over IP for control simplification and advanced operation from control panels.

The Lenovo ThinkSmart Core and Controller integrates with the AVer camera solutions to allow employees to connect, share, and collaborate seamlessly and securely.

Shannon MacKay, General Manager of Worldwide Smart Collaboration Business, Lenovo, commented: “We developed the ThinkSmart Core as a modular room kit for meeting spaces that enables flexibility and scalability to deliver high performance.

“Today’s work-or-learn-from-anywhere world needs collaboration solutions that empower and inspire participants no matter where they are. Lenovo will continue innovating to meet customers’ evolving demands for solutions in hybrid scenarios.”

In August, Lenovo announced that it was collaborating with Jabra to offer a hybrid working meeting room system optimised for use with Microsoft Teams Rooms.

The system also uses the ThinkSmart Core Kit and the Jabra PanaCast 50.

The solution is designed to enable companies to easily convert their conference rooms into hybrid workplaces with collaboration and productivity capabilities.

Earlier this year, Lenovo released its AI-assisted ThinkCentre neo 50a 24 desktop for improved performance, productivity, and collaboration.

The device is an all-in-one desktop designed for small and medium businesses.

The desktop is powered by 12th-generation Intel Core H-series processors with Intel Arc A370M graphics, running on Windows 11.
