Yamaha has received Zoom certifications for its ADECIA ceiling and tabletop audio solutions which offer high-quality audio in conference rooms and classrooms.

The ADECIA ceiling and tabletop microphone line array speaker solutions met the Zoom Rooms ProAudio Certified Hardware requirements, namely providing clear and faultless audio for hybrid and remote meetings and classes.

ADECIA is a line of Yamaha’s audio products which help to “overcome challenges with implementation, configuration and room acoustics”. Its line array speakers, ceiling microphone, and tabletop microphone previously received Teams certifications.

Nobuo Ikematsu, Senior General Manager of Information & Communication Division at Yamaha, said: “The modern conference room or classroom must be hybrid-ready.

“ADECIA’s world-class acoustic technology fosters seamless collaboration through high-quality audio for both in-person and remote participants. Zoom Video Communications, Inc., a leader in virtual conferencing, shares our vision for frictionless collaboration across the globe.

“Now with full optimization with Zoom Rooms, ADECIA Ceiling and Tabletop solutions can power effortless conversation, regardless of location.”

The Dante-enabled RMCG Ceiling Microphone has four dynamic beams, providing room flexibility.

For a more targeted audio pickup, the Dante-enabled RM-TT Microphone has six directional options for the microphone: omnidirectional, bidirectional, unidirectional, super-cardioid, hyper-cardioid, and toroidal.

When combined with Yamaha’s RM-CR processor, the RM-TT microphone’s voice-tracking capability automatically selects the nearest microphone to the speaker. If participants choose to walk around the room as they are speaking, their voices will still be tracked by the closest microphone to them. Microphones can also be set up in classrooms to ensure the teacher’s and students’ audio are all effectively captured.

Both microphones include Human Voice Activity Detection, Noise Cancellation, Dereverberation, and Auto Gain Control.

The ADECIA solution can work in a range of room environments and includes USB, Dante, and analogue connections.

The solution locates, optimises, and sets up all the system components, requiring only four simple integration steps.

Yamaha, Lenovo, and AVer can all provide the ADECIA as part of a “unique hybrid room-ready solution”. The bundle provides all the technological components needed for conference rooms and classrooms. As well as the complete Yamaha ADECIA audio system, it comes with the AVer CAM550 conference camera, the ThinkSmart Core and touchpanel, and a controller.

The hybrid bundle allows customers to carry out meetings, share content, and collaborate more easily.

Eric Yu, Head of Hardware Partnerships at Zoom, said: “As companies embrace the hybrid model, they must not underestimate the importance of good audio in the conference room.

“ADECIA Ceiling and Tabletop solutions fulfil all requirements for an audio solution that can support lively communication, productivity, and collaboration occurring daily via Zoom Rooms.”

More information on the bundle will be released at Zoomtopia 2022. Zoomtopia is taking place on November 8-9 and 17 in San Jose, California.

Yamaha’s ADECIA ceiling and tabletop solution join a growing list of Zoom hardware certifications. Poly recently received back-to-back Teams and Zoom certifications. Shure also received two Zoom Rooms hardware certifications for its MXA920 ceiling microphone and Intellimix Room audio software.
