BlueJeans by Verizon has revealed new video features at Enterprise Connect which will improve its Events offering, Developer Platform, and Meetings experience.
The platform enhancements have been designed to improve video engagement across the company’s collaboration and live-streaming platform.
The announcement came at the leading enterprise communications conference and exhibition, Enterprise Connect 2023, which took place in Orlando, Florida between 27-30 March.

Events Updates
BlueJeans Events has been updated to provide to give hosts a greater virtual stage presence, add participation options for attendees, and improve production capabilities.
A new Presenter Dashboard will allow presenters to see what the audience is seeing and show when their camera or microphone is enabled.
A Presenter Upload feature allows access to presentations through Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive so that all production team members can collaborate on the presentation content, without needing to share sensitive files.
New attendee reactions will give presenters more audience feedback and the attendee view now features improved colour contrast, iconography, and usability.
The event join screen can be further customised to set clear expectations for attendees and guidance around the event.
To reduce the administrative workload, Smart Producer has been added to recognise active speakers and switch layout options to create the optimal view for attendees.
The new Events features will be available for preview in Q2, with general availability expected in Q3.
Developer Platform Updates
The BlueJeans Developer Platform has been designed to power interactive video experiences for most applications. It enables video conferencing integrations into web and mobile applications via BlueJeans client SDKs to achieve fully customisable experiences.
Key features of the platform include Dolby Voice Audio, which provides excellent call quality with spatial audio.
High-performance, 720p, HD video with screen-sharing capabilities have also been added.
Layout customisations will include flexible options for configuring multi-stream video.
There will be complete customisation options with audio and video controls and settings.
REST APIs and webhooks provide a complete package of workflow automation APIs for before, during, and after meetings.
Meetings Updates
Direct Guest Join will become generally available in the second quarter of 2023.
It will provide ‘one-touch’ access for Microsoft Teams Rooms to join BlueJeans Meetings from their MTR via an embedded web experience.
BlueJeans Rooms users will also be able to leverage the technology to join Microsoft Teams Meetings on Windows and Android devices.
Updates to BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft will provide in-room meeting attendees with greater meeting insights through Fit-to-Frame automatic stream resizing, advanced controls for Large Gallery View, and Sharing Notifications for the content shared from PowerPoint Live, Excel Live, Teams Whiteboard, and OneDrive.
BlueJeans recently launched a free meetings plan, which allows up to 25 people to meet for free. BlueJeans Basic allows unlimited meetings with no time limit, plus a range of productivity features.
