Crestron has announced three new hybrid meeting products to improve productivity and collaboration.

An expansion of the Crestron Digital Workplace Portfolio, the vendor is launching Crestron Desk Q and Crestron Desk Touch for desk scheduling. Crestron is also introducing Crestron Flex Pods — a scalable tabletop wireless microphone and speaker platform — and the Crestron Videobar 70, an all-in-one collaboration bar for Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and BYOD meeting spaces.

Brad Hintze, Crestron EVP Global Marketing, commented:

We aim to be the ultimate partner for organizations seeking complete room solutions, company-wide workplace platforms, or both. Our goal is to provide a seamless and consistent experience across every room in the workplace, regardless of its size or function. We strive to be the driving force behind workplace technology solutions that make a tangible difference in how people work. The new products in the Crestron portfolio make this happen.”

The products intend to uphold Crestron’s pedigree for providing businesses with all-in-one audio and video collaborative solutions in every space, with the vendor offering a comprehensive product catalogue and flexible management tools. Crestron’s suite of hybrid meeting solutions can be fully integrated to meet customers’ needs.

“As the only hybrid meeting vendor with a product selection to support every space in an organization, we aim to empower our customers to maximize their productivity and collaboration while enhancing their overall experience,” Hintze added. “At Crestron, our passion lies in being the driving force behind innovative workplace technology solutions that make a tangible difference in the way people work and interact with technology.”

The Product Trio

The Crestron Desk Q and Desk Touch bolster Crestron’s existing scheduling hardware solutions and extend the experience to the desk. The product aims to provide a simplified desk scheduling experience that encourages higher adoption and use of the tool to foster a more productive office environment for workers.

The compactness of the Desk Q with QR-code-based reservations is intended for community workstations, hot desks, and hoteling. The touch interface of Desk Touch was designed with semi-private offices, cubicles, and stand-up spaces in mind.

Crestron Flex Pods tabletop wireless audio solutions give businesses a better choice of microphone and speaker solutions. To address the need for hybrid meetings requiring scalable and flexible audio technology, Flex Pods offer streamlined, high-quality tabletop audio for meeting spaces. This allows a room to be adapted for each meeting without requiring fixed in-ceiling microphones or speakers.

The Flex Pods Hub is based around a wireless receiver connected to the room UC device. It can communicate with up to four Flex Pods placed throughout the room. The Flex Pods can also be deployed as part of a Crestron Flex, AirMedia Wireless Collaboration Kit or standalone to integrate with current Crestron Flex C-Kits, AirMedia Receivers, or other BYOD solutions.

The Crestron Videobar 70 is an all-in-one collaboration bar that aims to offer a complete meeting experience for Teams, Zoom Rooms, and any BYOD service. It is specifically designed to foster a premium audiovisual experience for medium to large meeting rooms.

The form factor includes built-in UC computing and intelligent features to capture participants more clearly. Four cameras work collaboratively to crop for the best image. This means the video captured is a well-framed image of the person speaking. The Crestron Videobar 70 also allows customers an interface for meeting control in a refined form factor, with Android OS plug-and-play deployment also available.

The Desk Touch will ship in July, while the Desk Q will ship in Q4 2023. The Crestron Flex Pods will ship in Q3 2023, and the Crestron Videobar 70 will ship in Q4 2023.

Crestron at the Cutting-Edge of Video and Camera Tech

Crestron has always been at the forefront of innovative video and camera technology. Last year, Crestron acquired 1 Beyond’s intelligent video and camera technology. 1 Beyond’s technology was designed to adapt to rooms of all shapes and sizes, from lecture halls to corporate and multi-use spaces. This makes it possible to transform a collaboration space into a hybrid meeting room.

The 1 Beyond acquisition signalled Crestron’s intention to be a leader in the hybrid meeting solution space, which is manifesting in the quality of its Crestron Digital Workplace Portfolio.

Their pedigree saw Crestron partner with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team last year. Mercedes deployed the Crestron Flex Digital Workplace Platform and Crestron DM NVX AV-over-IP technology to keep its Operations Center running smoothly with real-time data being reported back on race day.
