Dstny has enhanced Carrier Automate, a product for connecting carriers to UCaaS through a single service connection, streamlining and improving the overall user experience and business journey from end to end.

Carrier Automate enables service providers to sell PSTN services to customers that use one or more cloud calling platforms by simplifying the way that carriers bring voice to Teams, Webex, and Zoom.

Akshay John, Principal Customer Solutions Architect at Dstny Automate, told UC Today that Dstny has taken steps to make Carrier Automate both easier to use and easier to sell.

“We sit between UC and voice, therefore we need to make this bridge as smooth and as seamless as possible,” he said.

“With Carrier Automate, our refinement goal has two tiers: one for the service provider and one for their customers. Taking on board feedback allowed us to polish the product in terms of reporting, provisioning, and configuring. The outcome is an improved customer experience throughout their journey.”

Seamless Number Management

At its core, Carrier Automate is designed to make it easy for enterprises and service providers to push numbers into their UCaaS of choice. The streamlined process allows number provisioning globally, regardless of UCaaS.

Akshay said:

“For customers who choose Operator Connect, this experience is driven by Microsoft’s new APIs, allowing numbering actions to be carried out within the portal itself. This means there is no need to switch between Carrier Automate and the Teams Admin Centre to manage your numbers.”

Enhanced Reporting

Offering detailed reporting to service providers has been a core priority for the Dstny team, enabling service providers to better understand specific customers and their orders, and making it easier to identify trends.

Akshay sees the benefits of this for his customers; service providers will be able to pick out patterns and immediately action them.

“They might want to stop a trend early, move things in a different direction, or engage with their customers to help them grow,” he said.

Knowing how best to serve your customer is a tenet of many organizations; with this in mind, Carrier Automate now allows service providers to assess potential customers from their list of leads and only accept those that meet their viability criteria.

Enhancing the customer journey even further is their core focus for the coming quarter, with an eye on providing even more insight and analytics for service providers.

UCaaS enablement for Service Providers

In partnership with Ribbon, Carrier Automate is one of a select few Microsoft Operator Connect Accelerator partners, an enablement provider for Cloud Connect for Webex Calling, and an approved Cloud Peering Accelerator partner for Zoom Phone’s Provider Exchange.

Looking to future, Dstny isn’t going to rest easy; commitment to continuous improvement is at the forefront of what its team does, Akshay said.

“The initial feedback has been very positive, but you will see more – we’ll keep adapting and improving Carrier Automate, to ensure it remains best in class for service providers looking to integrate seamlessly with multiple UCaaS platforms,” he added.
