Vonage and Flowcode have partnered to produce a “first-of-its-kind” communications tool, which allows customers to instantly communicate with brands, small businesses, and service providers.

With the new solution ‘Flowconnect’, consumers simply scan a QR code to immediately initiate communications with a customer service team.

This is made possible by integrating live chat using QR technology from the direct-to-consumer platform, Flowcode, in conjunction with Vonage’s APIs.

Jake Gidney, Innovation and R&D, Flowcode, commented on the new communications tool: “We wanted to bring to market a new solution that can transform customer interaction and service.

Vonage worked with us to optimize our launch, deliver the right communication APIs to help us execute our vision for Flowconnect, and ultimately deliver a better journey to our customers.”

According to Vonage, Flowconnect improves the customer experience and reduces the time it takes to direct customers to a landing page or call centre. It also streamlines user experiences and customer journeys for Flowcode customers.

The Flowcode QR technology used in Flowconnect is utilised by leading venues, brands, and institutions around the world.

The solution includes three Vonage APIs, which are Meeting, SMS, and Voice. These will help to generate new use cases across the various verticals in which Flowcode operates.

Moreover, Vonage’s APIs will allow Flowcode to easily bring communications capabilities directly into their existing applications, leading to more flexible communications experiences, enhanced customer satisfaction, and improved sales.

Vikram Khandpur, Senior Vice President CPaaS Products and Developer Experience, Vonage, expressed his enthusiasm for its product partnership with Flowcode:

“Vonage is delighted to work with Flowcode to expand their client base for Flowconnect, and enable direct communication for Flowcode’s customers, empowering them to land directly into the conversation with the experience they ultimately are seeking, quickly and efficiently.”

Describing itself as the “number one trusted QR provider”, Flowcode builds connections and conversions for consumers and brands. By bringing together design with the latest QR technology, it offers a quick, simple, and secure contactless connection.

It also has a companion product called ‘Flowpage’ that organises your digital footprint in a single landing page, enabling seamless connections with audiences, while tracking real-time analytics.

Used together, Flowcode’s technology lets both consumers and creators unify the real world and the digital world “instantly and magically”.

Vonage, which was acquired by Ericsson last year, is a global cloud communications provider that works to accelerate digital transformation for businesses.

The Vonage Communications Platform allows for Video, Voice, Chat, Messaging, AI, and Verification to be integrated into existing products, workflows, and systems.

Its conversational commerce application lets businesses create AI-powered omnichannel experiences to boost sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Built from the Vonage platform are also its fully programmable unified communications, contact centre, and conversational commerce applications.

In March this year, Vonage launched a no-code and customisable video conferencing API that can be embedded into user workflows without requiring support from developers.

Shortly before this, Vonage deployed AI-powered features for its Video API, along with audio, media, and security to assist its video platform and support firms in transforming customer connections.
