Webex meetings will soon be available on Apple TV 4K and Apple Watch, Cisco has revealed.

Cisco announced the news at its WebexOne event in Anaheim, California, further strengthening Apple’s credentials in the business space.

Apple first revealed that its Apple TV 4K would be transformed into a meeting device using iPhone cameras in June, with the service launching last month.

In a blog post Jeetu Patel, Cisco’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of Security and Collaboration, said:

“In our ever-evolving landscape of hybrid work, flexibility is paramount. At Cisco, we’re fully committed to empowering individuals to work on their own terms.

“This means creating intuitive apps that cater to the unique needs of hybrid workers, ensuring they can be productive wherever their work may lead them.

“Our upcoming innovations for Webex on Apple products are designed with this in mind.

Patel revealed that the Webex app will soon be available in the Apple TV App Store, featuring a QR code system that gives users a seamless login experience.

Large displays are supported using Continuity Camera support in tvOS 17 to wirelessly connect their iPhone or iPad to Apple TV 4K and leverage the device’s camera and microphone to participate in meetings.

Webex App for Apple Watch available from the App Store, allows you to start your day by viewing a list of upcoming meetings and join them with a single touch in audio-only mode. Users can listen and participate in a Webex meeting using just their Apple Watch and AirPods.
