RingCentral has announced the global availability of RingCentral Events, a virtual, onsite, and hybrid event solution.
In August this year, RingCentral acquired Hopin Events for an undisclosed sum, which it has now rebranded to RingCentral Events. Hopin hit unicorn status during the Covid pandemic and went on to raise more than $1 billion in funding, being valued at more than $7 billion.
Kristen Koenig, Head of Channel and Business Partnerships, RingCentral Events, outlined some of the customer experience benefits of using RingCentral Events: “The world of events has dramatically changed over the past few years, and businesses have an opportunity to approach events in new and inventive ways that deliver unprecedented levels of engagement.
“With RingCentral Events, we’re giving customers an incredibly frictionless experience – with flexibility to host either a single or multi-track events, advanced customization options, and now infused with AI to drive smarter event experiences for both organizers and attendees.”
RingCentral Events Features
RingCentral Events includes various event hosting capabilities, such as comprehensive support of all event types with native registration, analytics, a mobile app, check-in, badge printing, lead retrieval, and over 40 app and data integrations.
It provides personalisation options through custom branded event pages in minutes without any coding experience required, and customisable, modular blocks to display agendas, speakers, sponsors, and content.
The scalable solution can be trusted to run high-stakes events with over 100,000 attendees per event.
Using RingCentral’s RingSense AI platform, RingCentral Events includes AI-powered features, such as a smart content generator, an AI question and answer feature, and smart clips to create social media video content.
RingCentral believes its pricing represents the best value for money, with ‘straight-forward’ tiered pricing starting at £550 per licence per year.
Mackenzie Bryant, Senior Program Project Manager at Women Who Code provided her feedback for RingCentral Events: “With a member base of 160,000 across 147 countries, it was imperative that we find a global events platform to bring everyone together.
“I’ve now hosted over 15 events on RingCentral Events, and I love the variety of features and functionality the platform has to offer, especially the customization capability.
“The live analytics and post-event data not only help us track our audience demographics and make sure our global geographies are represented, but also enable us to see where attendees are joining from so we can map out future events.
“Overall, RingCentral Events provides a holistic experience across the entire journey of planning and executing an event, with data-driven insights for the future.”
RingCentral posted a positive Q3 2023, which was underpinned by what it called “strong traction” in its AI-powered products.
RingCentral’s new AI-driven solutions, RingCX and RingSense, have grown in popularity with customers this past quarter, helping both total revenue and subscription revenue grow 10 percent year over year to $558 million and $531 million, respectively.
The acquisition of the hybrid events business Hopin also factors into RingCentral’s plan to diversify into a multiproduct company, which is furthered by its launch of two new solutions, RingCX and RingSense for Phone.
