Peerless Network Now Certified for Webex Calling Cloud Connect

Peerless Network has been Certified as a Calling Provider for Cisco Webex Calling’s Cloud Connect program.

The integration of Peerless Network, now an Infobip company, with Cloud Connect for Webex Calling, entails establishing geographically redundant dedicated IP interconnections through connecting Peerless and Webex Calling data centres. While complementing the Peerless voice network, this ensures excellent reliability and call quality for Direct Inward Dialing (DIDs) and global calling.

Amey Parandekar, VP of Product Management at Webex Calling, commented:

Peerless Network is joining the Cloud Connect for Webex Calling program as a Certified Calling Provider. Adding Peerless to our Cloud Connect program will help enable Webex Calling customers to seamlessly connect to the cloud calling network.”

Peerless established its Tier 1 IP network in 2008, starting from scratch. Currently, the network handles more than nine billion minutes of traffic monthly, featuring 4,500 interconnections, servicing over 200 LATAs, and achieving a reliability rate of 99.99 percent.

“We are indeed honoured to be partnering with Webex to allow their customers the flexibility to choose the voice carrier of their choice,” added VP of Products and Technology for Peerless Network Jim Brewer. “With Peerless’ IP network, customers enjoy the highest quality and fastest PSTN services at a competitive price point.”

Peerless has a history as a prestigious carrier services provider, offering a variety of services, including Toll-Free, PSTN Control, IPES, IP Control, DIDs, Local Transit Service, Switched Access, and Domestic and International Long Distance. The company also provides a thorough suite of communication solutions tailored for enterprise customers, encompassing SIP Trunking, Toll-Free Services, and Domestic and International Long Distance.

“Further, U.S.-based customers make their communications more efficient, expand their global calling footprint, and save on international calling,” Brewer continued.

What Other Webex News Has Happened Recently?

November was a significant month for Webex partnerships and launches, perhaps the most notable being the business and AWS expanding their partnership to improve worker collaboration and enhance the customer experience.

Amazon WorkSpaces unveiled new synergies, such as hosting Webex Contact Center. The Amazon WorkSpaces Thin Client now supports Webex Contact Center to streamline and reduce the start-up costs of a customer support agent. At the same time, Cisco peripheral hardware, such as headsets and desk cameras, also became certified for Amazon WorkSpaces Thin Client.

A further synergy is how Amazon Workspaces empowers Webex for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Webex provides extended support for virtual desktops through a Webex plugin for Amazon WorkSpaces, enhancing audio and video performance for hybrid meetings and calls. The Webex plugin establishes a secure connection through a virtual channel within the Amazon WorkSpaces desktop computing session, streamlining the user experience by offloading audio and video processing to the user’s local device.

NexGen Virtual and Webex also expanded their partnership to introduce new advanced reporting functionality to the NexGen Virtual Office App.

The new update of NexGen’s hybrid work and collaboration platform grows the singular virtual office experience and performance management toolset in Webex tailored for remote and hybrid workplaces. This will empower managers with greater flexibility, allow smooth communication between employees and optimise productivity and performance.

The product offers remote and hybrid teams a virtual version of a real-life office environment. Practically, this produces secure, customised 3D floor plans and personalised office spaces.

Additionally, Phonism revealed it was integrating third-party device management with Webex Calling, highlighting the service as being the first offering of its kind on Cisco’s collaboration platform.

The VoIP specialist Phonism could enable Cisco partners and their customers to rapidly deploy Webex Calling through the partnership. Organisations could now automate device deployments, management, security, and migrations for “hundreds” of Cisco and third-party devices, as outlined by Phonism. Phonism stated that customers could save up to 95 percent for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) use cases.
