Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has announced it is bringing its Rainbow Hub solution to Brazil, Singapore and Canada in an expansion of its global coverage.

Initially launched in Europe, Rainbow Hub has expanded its reach to Brazil, Singapore, and Canada, offering companies a comprehensive cloud comms solution. This service is designed to provide a seamless and integrated experience for businesses looking to bolster their digital communication capabilities.

Moussa Zaghdoud, EVP Cloud Communications Business Division at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, commented:

We are very pleased to expand the availability of Rainbow Hub. It reflects ALE’s strategy to offer a path towards cloud adoption to our partners and customers around the world. This is a key offering that supports businesses in their digital transformation.”

Rainbow Hub is a communications cloud platform featuring telephony, group messaging and videoconferencing tools designed for businesses of all sizes. It enables teams to communicate and collaborate from any location and device. As an app services platform, Rainbow Hub benefits from end-to-end services, including carrier services provided via telecom operator partners within the Rainbow Carrier Connect program.

Updates To The Rainbow Platform

ALE stresses it’s broadening its global service footprint and enhancing its Rainbow platform with innovative services for both partners and customers.

The company recently introduced Rainbow Carrier Connect, a cloud-to-cloud interconnection with the operator’s infrastructure, allowing certified operators to be natively integrated with Rainbow for rapid commissioning.

Additionally, ALE has launched BYOT (Bring Your Own Trunk), enabling customers to maintain their existing operator relationships while routing calls through Rainbow. ALE suggests this option is particularly beneficial for those looking to adopt Rainbow Hub without changing their current operator.

Aiming to further enrich the user experience, ALE is leveraging AI to introduce features like background blurring and noise reduction, ensuring users remain focused during their communications. Anticipated future AI enhancements include the transcription and translation of communications, with ALE promising to make interactions more productive and user-centric.

ALE’s Momentous 2023

2023 was a seismic year for ALE, specifically its Rainbow Hub solution.

In October, the business announced it was distributing Rainbow Hub around the world through its global partner network.

“This benefits our partners, who can leverage their investment in operator services, and customers, who can choose their preferred carrier services,” Zaghdoud said. “With more than 20 certified operators in Europe, ALE looks forward to continued expansion of its certified partners, extending the Rainbow Hub reach.”

Preceding that announcement, in July, ALE launched its Rainbow Hub UCaaS service in the UK, with Zaghdoud saying, “The introduction of Rainbow Hub to the UK market marks a significant milestone for ALE and the UCaaS industry.”

Last June, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise launched its Rainbow Telephony for Microsoft Teams connector.

An enhancement of Rainbow, the Rainbow Telephony for Teams connector is designed to interface with the Teams platform. The connector empowers the seamless use of current telephony systems across any type of device, including desktop, tablet, mobile, software and environment.
