ZeeVee has launched a “first of its kind” AV over IP management solution.

ZeeVee has released its ZyPer Management Platform (ZMP) 4.0, a comprehensive update that the business says includes the “first of its kind” visualisation, analysis and monitoring tool (VAM) that provides a thorough overview of an entire AVoIP ecosystem.

Bob Michaels, CEO of ZeeVee, commented:

Our ZyPer Management Platform has always been a key differentiator for integrators and end-users in choosing ZeeVee AVoIP products and solutions. With the latest version, we further expand on the industry’s most intuitive and seamless AVoIP system control that opens up more options for long-term successful deployments in virtually any setting.”

ZeeVee stresses that VAM streamlines support and minimises interruptions for integrators and their clients, leading to significant cost reductions. Additionally, ZMP 4.0 offers a suite of enhanced performance and security features, further boosting its capabilities.

“We are constantly pushing the envelope to empower our customers with more efficient AVoIP signal distribution workflows,” added Michaels. “There is no better example of this than our aggressive schedule of updates to our ZyPer Management Platform.”

Specifics On VAM’s Feature Set

The VAM tool is pitched as a cutting-edge solution that empowers integrators and end-users to visualise, analyse, and monitor multicast traffic on AV networks, pinpointing potential bandwidth overages.

ZeeVee says that VAM can automatically discover AV networks and graphically depict each component, simplifying the identification of ZyPer endpoints and switch trunks, including multicast streams and LAG trunks. It also offers real-time analysis with immediate access to switch data such as IP addresses and firmware versions and displays port status and bandwidth allocation.

Another key VAM feature is how it enables service providers and system managers to monitor switch ports/links through various live charts, tracking multicast packet rates, port bandwidth, and network errors. It visually alerts users to trunk oversubscription and checks switch configurations for AVoIP operations, issuing warnings when necessary.

Lastly, it provides detailed information on system-level parameters like snooping, proxy querier, multicast forwarding database, VLAN, and port-level configurations and statistics, ensuring optimal system performance.
