Sennheiser Launches Q-SYS Control Plugin for TeamConnect Ceiling Medium

Sennheiser has introduced a Q-SYS Control Plugin for TeamConnect Ceiling Medium (TCC M).

The German audio equipment designer, Sennheiser, developed the control plugin alongside Q-SYS via the Q-SYS Ecosystem, a partner community through which software and hardware manufacturers can collaborate to create and integrate products into the Q-SYS platform.

Now available in Q-SYS Designer Asset Manager, the plugin has been fully checked and approved by the audio, video, and control platform Q-SYS, which awarded the solution with a certified badge.

Charlie Jones, Sennheiser’s Global Alliance and Partnership Manager, explains the main purpose behind bringing the control plugin to market “We are thrilled to once again collaborate with Q-SYS to develop the TCC M plugin.

“This plugin, along with others from our ongoing collaboration, ensures that integrating the Sennheiser microphone portfolio with the Q-SYS cloud-manageable audio, video, and control Platform is as efficient and straightforward as possible.”

The Q-SYS control plugin enables direct management of LED control, output gain, mute functions, audio levels, Sennheiser TruVoicelift, and speaker positioning.

Sennheiser already has a portfolio of Q-SYS plugins on offer, including the TCC 2 microphone and SpeechLine Digital Wireless microphone system.

According to Sennheiser, this latest addition to the portfolio increases the possibility for a ‘drag-and-drop’ configuration of its devices within any Q-SYS system.

When used in conjunction with Q-SYS, Sennheiser hails its TCC M device as the ‘ideal’ solution to transform the audio quality of mid-sized meeting rooms.

Thanks to features such as Intelligent Noise Control and TruVoicelift, TCC M can offer ‘crystal clear’ audio so that all meeting participants can be heard whether they are present in the room or connecting from a remote location.

Sennheiser also describes the solution is being ‘perfect’ for dynamic space require simple, functional designs.

Moreover, the plugin improves the potential for greater collaboration and productivity within an organisation’s mid-sized meeting space.

Gary Evans, Director of Alliances and Ecosystem Tech Ops at Q-SYS, offered his endorsement to the new control plugin:

“We are proud to further our collaboration with Sennheiser to create a plugin integration that enables elevated experiences across a range of high-impact spaces.”

A Sennheiser blog post provided a detailed review of the benefits of combining Q-SYS and Sennheiser technologies within mid-sized meeting spaces.

In the post, Sennheiser offered examples of real-world settings which the two companies could enhance with a combination of their technologies.

The TCC M and Q-SYS have been deployed in university tutorial rooms, for example, to create ‘clear’ communication and ‘seamless’ video engagement for flexible class sizes.

Corporate meeting spaces can also benefit from the TCC M to enable flexible layouts and varied group sizes, while the Q-SYS control delivers high quality audio, automatic camera tracking, and a simplified user experience.

In July this year, Sennheiser introduced TeamConnect Bars for Microsoft Teams, followed by a Zoom Rooms certification soon after.

The newest additions to the Sennheiser TeamConnect Family, TC Bars are available in two models, which are the TeamConnect Bar S and the TeamConnect Bar M.
