Neat has announced its new Board Pro solution for advanced video conferencing in medium-to-large meeting rooms.

The latest edition of Neat’s Board series, the Board Pro is pitched as an all-in-one 65-inch device that enhances the meeting experience with far-reaching audio and video.

Neat underlines that the Neat Board Pro is designed to integrate with popular video conferencing platforms seamlessly. It offers a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) mode and a continually expanding range of business applications through the newly launched Neat App Hub. This integration aims to provide users unparalleled choice and flexibility in their daily workflows, aspiring to transform how teams meet, create, and collaborate.

Norma Løvhaugen, Head of Product Marketing, Strategy and Design at Neat, wrote in an announcement blog:

Its far-reaching, wide-angle camera and rich audio give you a broader, more immersive, natural video meeting experience in medium to large meeting rooms.”

Neat stresses that the Board Pro comes equipped with all the necessary components, including a table stand and straightforward online instructions, to ensure a quick and easy setup. With only a power outlet and WiFi connection required, users can avoid the hassle of running additional cables across the room, reducing complexity and clutter.

Additionally, the Neat Board Pro offers versatile setup options to best suit various workspace needs, whether on Neat’s adaptable floor stand and mount or a standard wall mount. This provides the flexibility to slide the screen up or down, which Neat says makes it ideal for both seated and standing presentations or whiteboarding sessions. Its adaptive stand allows users to wheel the device from one space to another, bolstering accessibility and freedom during meetings or collaborative sessions.

The Neat Board Pro is generally available from Neat channel partners and on neat.no.

More Specifics On Neat Board Pro’s Feature Set

The Neat Board Pro features a 2x 50MP camera system incorporating a telephoto and wide-angle lens, delivering up to 16x hybrid zoom. This allows it to reach and frame people at the front, side, or back of the room in intricate detail, capturing everyone individually or as a group. Neat says its fast image processing detects, enlarges, and follows all in-room participants in full close-up, regardless of their position or direction of movement, resulting in more lifelike engagement.

The audio capabilities include a five-microphone end-fire array, five sensor mics, audio localisation microphones, hardware-accelerated audio processing, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and dereverberation. These features ensure that people’s voices are heard clearly and understandably, enhancing the overall communication experience.

The visual display encompasses a 4K 65-inch multi-touch LCD screen that Neat highlights features exceptional light and colour. The screen is equipped with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coatings for better readability. The Neat Active Marker also provides a more natural writing or drawing experience, complete with an intuitive tail-end eraser.

Finally, Neat adds that its Board Pro incorporates industry-leading technologies like Neat Symmetry, Neat Audio, and Neat Boundary. These technologies intend to work together to produce clearer, more engaging, and distraction-free meetings.

Neat App Hub and Marketplace Available Now

Last month, Neat announced its “pioneering” App Hub, which is generally available and encompasses an application marketplace.

The Neat App Hub is pitched as a development platform that hosts various applications in its newly launched App Marketplace, including workplace experience apps, custom web apps, and tools for collaborative shared spaces. These apps can be deployed onto Neat devices via Neat Pulse, a cloud-based platform that enables complete control and management of all connected devices.

With over two dozen providers, Neat says the App Hub offers a broad selection of applications from global market leaders to specialised companies, providing innovative solutions that enhance daily workflows. Additionally, Neat is expanding the App Hub through its Developer Program, encouraging collaboration with app providers and developers to create new, customised applications.
