Panasonic Connect Europe has unveiled its first-ever LED display, a 110″ board intending to boost enterprise collaboration.

The Panasonic Connect TL-110AD12AW LED display, the latest addition to the vendor’s lineup of professional displays, is designed to deliver exceptional performance with effortless out-of-the-box configuration. It offers enhanced installation flexibility and versatile connectivity options to meet a wide range of needs.

The company affirms that the device is suitable for higher education, classrooms, university lecture theatres, and corporate environments.

“We are seeing growing demand for large-screen displays that deliver high-quality visuals and are easy to use and install,” said Hartmut Kulessa, European Marketing Manager of Visual System Solutions at Panasonic Connect Europe.

Most traditional LED displays have complex systems that are difficult and time-consuming to operate whilst not being compatible with other devices. Our all-in-one Intel® SDM-enabled 110-inch LED display addresses these pain points, providing increased interoperability as customers look for complete, holistic, IP-based solutions that meet complex project requirements.”

Panasonic Connect outlines that the TL-110AD12AW LED display leverages Panasonic’s expertise in IP-based connectivity and configurability, tailored to meet the demands of professional display users. Featuring a brightness of 700 cd/m² and a 1.27 mm pixel pitch, it aspires to offer high-quality, colour-accurate images with advanced clarity, even in well-lit environments.

The TL-110AD12AW LED display is set for general availability in Q1 2025.

More Specifics On The Display’s Design And Feature Set

Panasonic’s 110″model encompasses multiple Intel SDM slots for what it says is the first time in an LED display. It aims to enable seamless AVoIP integration with proprietary or third-party function boards. This innovation seeks to allow customers to harness the full power of AVoIP, facilitating enhanced communication and collaboration across multiple devices and locations.

The LED display is both lighter and thinner than traditional models, making installation more accessible and more efficient. Shipped semi-assembled to reduce setup time, Panasonic Connect adds that it includes mounting hardware for quick installation. Users can start immediately by connecting the display to a playback device with an HDMI cable.

Panasonic’s IP-based connectivity also reduces the need for extensive cabling, enhancing scalability and simplifying installation for various environments.

Panasonic’s LED display combines an eco-friendly design with proprietary Average Picture Level (APL) technology, which adjusts brightness and power consumption based on the installation environment. The company suggests this ensures continuous operation while reducing energy use. Additionally, the display features burn-in prevention and correction technology, maintaining high-quality visuals even during prolonged image display.

Panasonic Connect also emphasises that the display offers front access for convenience and easy part replacement or repairs. Its compatibility with remote management services enables real-time status monitoring, allowing maintenance to be planned in advance, minimising downtime, and providing peace of mind for users.

Are We Set For A Digital Signage Revolution In 2025?

Panasonic Connect’s expansion of its collaboration display portfolio could come at an opportune time, with several major software vendors making inroads into the space ahead of 2025.

In October, Microsoft introduced digital signage functionality for Teams Rooms on Windows.

Microsoft is providing organisations with the opportunity to use their Teams Rooms hardware for signage in addition to meetings and presentations. This allows companies to communicate with teams, display company news and upcoming events, and reinforce brand messaging.

While Microsoft’s Surface Hub 3 might be something of a competitor with Panasonic Connect’s new LED display, the addition of digital signage functionality to that device, as announced at last month’s Microsoft Ignite, signals the tech giant’s broader expansion into the digital signage market.

Meanwhile, last month, Korbyt became the first digital signage partner to join the Zoom ISV Exchange Program. The program enables Zoom to integrate solutions from Korbyt and other independent software vendors (ISVs) into its AI-powered collaboration platform, Zoom Workplace.
