It is believed Avaya is going through another round of layoffs this week as LinkedIn and message boards light up with notes from Avaya employees expressing their frustration.
With numbers still unconfirmed, reports from employees in the Europe, Middle East and India regions suggest these areas have been impacted the most.
Former employees have been reaching out to those affected, with one writing on LinkedIn, “I’ve been reaching out to quite a few former coworkers today. It’s hard on everyone no matter if you were let go or not.”
New CEO Patrick Dennis has made his intentions clear about Avaya’s future and insists that he plans to focus on the global 1,500 enterprises, most of which reside in the US.
This news comes off the back of a large round of layoffs in November.
Operations Outside of US
It appears the N. American operations have been relatively unscathed by the recent wave of cuts, UC Today will bring you updates on Avaya’s international operations when we have confirmed them. For now, it is unknown how deep CEO Dennis intends to cut under his new strategy.
