NUWAVE has unveiled its new digital transformation tool, Teleport, which it pitches as a “game-changing” PXC-to-UC migration service.
Teleport is pitched as a landmark new feature within NUWAVE’s established Multi-UC service management platform, iPILOT. NUWAVE suggests the capability illustrates a major shift in how organisations can adopt and transition to modern UC platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Zoom.
Mark Bunnell, COO and Cofounder of NUWAVE, commented:
Teleport is more than a feature—it’s a leap forward for Unified Communications. We’ve developed a solution that eliminates the traditional barriers to UC adoption, giving businesses the confidence and tools they need to stay competitive in today’s global market.”
NUWAVE positions Teleport as a solution to enterprises’ long-standing challenges when migrating from legacy PBX systems to modern UC platforms. While smaller businesses have transitioned to the cloud more easily, NUWAVE says that mid-size and large enterprises have struggled with high costs, long timelines, and migration risks.
The vendor asserts that Teleport eliminates these barriers by combining intelligent technology, expert development, and the established capabilities of the iPILOT platform, aspiring to enable seamless and efficient transitions.
Teleport officially launched on January 22, 2025, and is available worldwide to all iPILOT partners and their customers, subject to terms and conditions. NUWAVE stresses that Teleport is included for free within the iPILOT platform.
More Specifics On Teleport’s Feature Set
Teleport aims to revolutionise PBX-to-UC migrations, allowing organisations to replace outdated systems with modern comms solutions.
One of its core advantages NUWAVE highlights is simplification—Teleport automates and streamlines complex migrations, minimising time and effort. This efficiency aims to translate into cost savings by removing manual migration expenses while delivering end-to-end financial benefits.
Beyond cost and convenience, Teleport intends to empower businesses to adopt advanced Multi-UC Cloud Platform technology. By facilitating seamless transitions, NUWAVE says it unlocks powerful UC features like AI integration and enhanced collaboration tools, fostering innovation and boosting productivity.
What Else Has NUWAVE Been Up To Recently?
NUWAVE has announced the launch of its new Business Text Messaging solution in partnership with Clerk Chat.
This new capability integrates SMS, MMS, and WhatsApp messaging into platforms like Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, seeking to transform how businesses engage with customers across multiple channels. Powered by iPILOT, NUWAVE partners can help companies streamline their communication strategies for seamless, efficient multi-channel interactions.
NUWAVE’s Business Text Messaging service offers a comprehensive suite of features to enhance customer engagement, including direct and group messaging, automated campaigns, CRM integration, and streamlined customer management—all within a unified platform.
NUWAVE’s Spears took part in UC Today‘s Round Table on UC Service Management last year. Spears emphasised that effective UC service management requires a strategic approach that optimises the entire lifecycle of UC services—from planning and deployment to ongoing management and support. He highlighted successful strategies and best practices offered by iPILOT, including synthesis and ascent, which focus on comprehensive lifecycle solutions.
Thorough migrations are a critical strategy for Spears. “Start by conducting a thorough assessment of the organisation’s current UC environment, including infrastructure, applications, and user needs,” he said. “Utilise iPILOT’s Migration modules to seamlessly integrate the customer’s voice into the automation platform for legacy on-prem PBX or other cloud UC platforms, moving users individually, in bulk, or by department.”
