Microsoft has appointed long-serving executive Rodney Clark as its new CVP of Global Channel Sales.
Clark replaces Gavriella Schuster, who led the partner operation for over seven years. She is stepping down to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Clark has been at the tech giant for 23 years, most recently serving as its CVP of IoT and mixed reality sales.
“In his 20+ years at Microsoft, Rodney has been no stranger to the channel, maintaining proximity and spending a vast majority of time dedicated to growing partner value,” stated Nick Parker, CVP of Global Partner Solutions.
“His experience, passion and commitment to not only accelerate the industry but to push Microsoft, through a focus on building capability, through partners, positions him incredibly well to help our partners continue to drive growth.”
Schuster will remain with the company for the next few months in order to help transition Clark into the role.
She will now be focusing her attention on business development and advocating for diversity in the tech industry.
“I am looking forward to continuing to pursue my passion with an increased focus on business development, developing the next generation of technology leadership and promoting greater diversity in the tech industry,” Schuster wrote on her LinkedIn page.
“I will, of course, miss working so closely with so many of you [partners], and I look forward to continuing our engagements in new forums and new ways. Over the coming months, I am committed to helping Rodney onboard and helping my teams close the year strong and prepare the business for the future.”
Microsoft recently announced former Accenture exec Orla McGrath as the new head of its partner organisation for the UK&I.
