The unified communications as a service (UCaaS) offering, first announced last August, has today been made available in Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Ireland.

Rainbow Office is a combination of RingCentral’s UCaaS technology and ALE’s telephony and networking expertise, the pair said.

The collaboration is the latest in a string of partnerships that RingCentral has formed with comms vendors.

Sahil Rekhi, Vice President, Global Strategic Partnerships at RingCentral, said that the ALE collaboration brings something unique to the market.

Every partnership brings something different and we at RingCentral also bring something different to each of the partners,” he said.

“ALE is a leader in the markets it operates in, specifically in Europe, and it also has a strong relationship with its network of partners.

I think this brings a very different proposition to the market and they also have a very strong relationship with their customers; they bring a base of 40 million users which not many companies can do”

We’ve really enjoyed working with them to date and I’m confident we’ll have tremendous success in the eight launch countries with Rainbow Office.”

Claudio Soland, Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & Business Operations at ALE, said he expects to see demand for Rainbow Office from businesses of all sizes across a range of verticals, adding that SMB customers in particular will benefit from the platforms agility and simplicity.

He also said that demand from channel partners for the product has exceeded expectations from both new and existing partners.

The challenge is two-fold, he said.

“We want to migrate our existing installed base who are interested in this particular offer, as well as attract greenfield and other businesses to jointly grow business with our partners.

It is a compelling offer for existing customers as well as new ones looking for an all-in-one public cloud solution.

This is clearly the direction in which the overall market is moving and is the reason we are launching a powerful and dedicated solution for this segment.

We also recognise some companies have different needs or are at different stages of their digital transformations.

RingCentral’s Rekhi went on to say that Rainbow Office will play a key role in RingCentral’s ongoing European expansion.

The vendor has a strong foothold in a handful of countries – such as the UK, Ireland and France – but it is less wellknown in other parts of the continent.

Us partnering with ALE is to really expand our presence across Europe, but expand it specifically with Rainbow Office,” he said.

“We have increased our employee base across Europe by nearly double over the last 18 months, so we are very committed to growing in Europe and internationally”

Rekhi was tight-lipped on which countries can next expect to see Rainbow Office launch but said that RingCentral and ALE are already preparing a new wave of regions.

We’ve been building and planning our roadmap and are looking at other launch opportunities,” he explained.

We won’t be waiting around just to see how these eight countries go; these countries are just the start of a long and prosperous partnership.”
