Advanced Analytics with Microsoft Teams Apps

  • Teams device reports: How many people use Teams on different devices
  • Teams live event usage report: Details like total views, event status, presenter, organiser, producer, recording setting, and more
  • Teams PSTN reports: There are various reports here, covering everything from PSTN blocked users to minute pools and total minutes used, calling plans, and how many people make calls in your business. You can also check your usage report about your Direct Routing service if you’re using one with Teams
  • Teams information protection license report: Total number of change notification events for each user, which apps listen to org-wide events, and which users have licenses to push their messages via change notifications

Microsoft’s reports and analytics are organised so you can look at cross-team analytics, or individual team analytics, with specific date ranges for each report. For instance, you can determine how many active users you had in your “Sales” team over the last thirty days. 

You can also narrow your analytics down even further, looking at the details behind specific channels, such as how many posts have been published on that channel and how many apps are connected to it.

On its own, Microsoft offers a great selection of reports to help you understand a little more about how people are using the app. However, it’s worth noting that you can always get deeper insights about your team in specific areas by using third-party apps from AppSource.
