As businesses continue to make arrangements for life after the coronavirus pandemic, the focus within the office has been fixed on connecting meeting rooms to collaboration providers.

Companies are seeking a better audio and video experience to simulate face-to-face communication, in order to make meetings more productive and achieve meeting equity. These experiences are also seeing demand for training rooms and classroom scenarios, as the technology integrated into the solutions, like Presenter Tracking, produce a more engaging experience.

In step Yealink, who is launching the UVC86, a dual 4K camera solution designed to provide the perfect display to medium and large conference rooms. The UVC86 has built-in dual 4K cameras and a range of AI features, including Auto Framing, Speaker Tracking, and Presenter  Tracking in order to supply a solution that ensures meeting participants do not miss the critical information discussed within the session.

The camera system has a built-in PTZ camera with 90° and panoramic lens with 120°, allowing businesses to install the camera system anywhere and still catch the speakers and information that matter. The UVC86 can also be controlled manually via remote control or Yealink’s Camera Control plug-in software, handing complete control to participants.

  • Dual-eye 4K video camera at 30 fps
  • Auto Framing, Speaker Tracking and Presenter Tracking
  • 12x optical zoom, presenting crystal-clear video image

Artificial Intelligence

At the heart of the UVC86 solution is the innovative use of Artificial Intelligence in order to make the most of the meeting in session. This use of AI falls into three specific features: Auto Framing, Speaker Tracking, and Presenter Tracking.

  • Auto Framing – Auto Framing automatically recognizes the number of attendees and where they are on screen. Using this recognition, the UVC86 frames the meeting participants that are initially on screen and then continually adjusts as more people enter the space, eliminating manual setups
  • Speaker Tracking –  With built-in 6 beamforming microphone arrays for sound localisation, Speaker Tracking frames a real-time close-up of the speaker. In turn, participants are able to experience a vivid face-to-face meeting experience, whilst ensuring attendees are well-engaged and not distracted by other participants
  • Presenter Tracking – Similarly, Presenter Tracking ensures the camera follows the presenters around the room when they are presenting. As a result, presenters are always in the center of the view of the camera and do not have to be tied to one spot on stage or lecturn. With the use of the UVC86, remote participants can experience a presentation as if they are in the room

Technical specifications

To provide such features, the UVC86 takes advantage of two 4K cameras that work together to bring a 12x optical zoom and 90° field of view out of the box.

The UVC86 camera also ensures a great audio experience too, allowing businesses to integrate the audio features found in the Yealink VCM34 array microphone, CPW90 Wireless Microphone or VCM38 ceiling microphone. The MSpeaker II soundbar, which is capable of providing a wonderful audio experience, also combines with the camera to provide a well-rounded solution.

The addition of the UVC86 camera cements Yealink’s place as a leading professional collaboration provider, and complements the conferencing microphone and speaker solutions that work together to provide a stylish and adaptable conferencing solution.
