Yeastar’s Take on Hybrid Work: What’s Changing?

In the past two years, the world of work has experienced a massive shift, arguably the most significant one in decades. Hybrid Work became the new norm, and many organizations were caught off guard by the unexpected changes, making them realize the urgency and importance of keeping their tools and systems up to date. As a provider of PBX systems and digital workspace solutions, Yeastar has experienced those changes up close.

“The main areas experiencing change as a result of the transition to Hybrid Work can be roughly divided into three categories: UCaaS, video collaboration, and the digital workplace,” notes Prince Cai, VP at Yeastar.

“We constantly update our product portfolio to ensure that the needs of our clients and partners are being met, and that our solutions continue to serve them optimally in the new reality,” he shares.

Bettering Communication with UCaaS

Unified Communication as a Service has become a pillar of Hybrid Work, allowing all the flexibility and Yeastar can very well feel the increase in the use of UCaaS solutions through the influx of demand they’re experiencing for their complementary solutions.

“Cloud technology was of great help in supporting remote working during the pandemic, and it still is. We’re seeing a surge in the adoption of cloud-based Unified Communications, and it’s in accordance with the demand for PBX solutions,” Cai says.

Cai refers to the Yeastar P-Series PBX System, which offers a comprehensive suite of UC features including audio, video, applications, a call center solution, and collaboration integration. The recent launch of the P-Series Cloud Edition, as well as the UCaaS service delivery platform of Yeastar Central Management (YCM), was a great help to Service Providers looking for a simple way into the UCaaS community.

According to Cai, Yeastar witnessed a 45% increase in cloud PBX hosting partners and a 100% increase in cloud PBX in 2021. The numbers speak for themselves.

Boosting Collaboration with Video Conferencing

In alignment with a growing UCaaS user base, Hybrid Work environments present a massive increase in the use of video conferencing tools. The reasons are obvious: these tools allow to maintain a “real” human connection, as well as increase team productivity while collaborating remotely. Yeastar made sure to boost its portfolio with its own video conferencing solution to cater to those needs.

“We launched our video conferencing solution early last year, and it’s been receiving great feedback from users,” Cai shares.

The solution is designed to serve SMEs’ essential online meeting needs and offers an interactive, user-friendly way of connecting geographically dispersed teams complementing Yeastar’s larger UC solution.

Improving in-Office Performance with Workplace Scheduling

While many people work remotely in the post-pandemic era, quite a lot of them have returned to the office, at least to a certain extent. But things have changed inside the office, too. New needs are arising from the accelerated digitization of the workplace, and those needs create a market for workplace scheduling solutions.

“Office space scheduling is becoming an area of focus for business, helping to streamline the reservation process, improve space utilization, enhance employee experience, and ensure a safe return to office,” Cai explains.

That’s why Yeastar decided to launch its all-in-one workplace scheduling solution last year. The solution, called Yeastar Workplace, combines online booking of office spaces, calendar integration, room displays, and smart sensors; and is designed to facilitate in-office collaboration and streamline space management for companies.

“Hybrid Work is here to stay, which translates into flexibility in where, when, and how employees everywhere work,” Cai concludes.

“That’s why we design our products to be easily accessible and straightforward to deploy, use and manage. Helping our clients and partners adapt to the needs of today’s agile workforce is a key goal for us”
