DTEN Unveils Whiteboard in Conjunction with Zoom

DTEN is releasing the DTEN ONboard, the first digital canvas to natively support Zoom’s Advanced Whiteboard features, following investment from Zoom.

The interactive whiteboard is designed for collaboration in hybrid workplaces. It can be used with all versions of Zoom Rooms or as a standalone appliance.

The DTEN Onboard can be used by both in-office and remote workers, and it can be accessed before, during and after meetings which DTEN believes will increase participation and inclusion.

DTEN expects to start shipping the devices this summer.

Rick Corteville, CMO at DTEN, said: “Collaboration isn’t a single meeting, it’s an interactive, creative, and inclusive process.

“DTEN ONboard provides the interactive hub that enables the entire team to participate equally, to continuously build on ideas and share progress.

“Many meeting rooms are equipped with legacy video conference hardware lacking touch capabilities.

“The addition of DTEN ONboard immediately adds fully interactive collaboration without minimizing video frames on the existing display.

“In pre-release, DTEN ONboard has been recognized with the Best Innovation for Meeting Rooms Award at the recent 2022 Enterprise Connect Conference.”

DTEN Onboard Features

4K Display: The DTEN ONboard has a 4k, 55-inch display.

Multipurpose tool: The whiteboard can be used to brainstorm, make diagrams, or put any concept into visual form.

Visual toolkit: Visual aids can be added to frame ideas, including shapes and connectors, sticky notes, and drag and drop images.

Touch screen: The board can be used remotely or at the board itself, using a stylus or a finger.

Persistent Canvas: Remote and in-office workers can add to the whiteboard at any time, not just during meetings.

Extendable Canvas: The whiteboard can be extended or contracted by pinching the screen and zooming in or out.

Sharing: Projects can be saved and exported via chat or email.

Compatibility: The device is compatible with both Windows and Android operating systems.

DTEN ONboard is also compatible with Zoom’s Workspace Reservation features, enabling it to function as an interactive map of available meeting rooms and workstations.

DTEN has already paired some of its devices with Workspace Reservation, including the DTEN D7 and DTEN ME PRO.

The whiteboard can also serve as a presentation tool either for in-company or external meetings.

Zoom Rooms Digital Signage can also be synced with the appliance to share multimedia content.

The device manufacturer, DTEN, received investment from Zoom in October last year.
