Vbrick Launches VPaaS for Developers

Vbrick has launched VPaaS for Developers, a new subscription tier enabling developers to access its cloud-native enterprise video platform as a service (VPaaS) capabilities.

The Vbrick platform provides a robust suite of APIs and SDKs that allow video capabilities, including live webcasts, on-demand streaming, video artificial intelligence, transcription, translation, public and eCDN distribution, content management, and analytics, to be embedded into existing applications and workflows. Until now, only Vbrick’s enterprise video platform (EVP) customers and partners could access these capabilities.

Shailesh Lohiya, Chief Technology Officer at Vbrick, explains why the company created a new developer-centric offer: “Video has become mission-critical in today’s modern enterprise and can be used to enhance numerous internal and customer-facing applications and workflows.

Vbrick’s EVP is built on a software as a service architecture principal, which has enabled our customers and partners to leverage our secure and reliable backend infrastructure to customize and embed video into their products or applications without using our UI. By creating a developer license for our VPaaS capabilities, we are able to give the wider development community access to our technology and encourage developers to experiment and innovate with video.”

Despite the increase in enterprise video adoption in recent years, development teams often remain hard-pressed to access the tools, platforms, and solutions needed to integrate live and on-demand video into their organization’s products and workflows.

Vbrick VPaaS for Developers provides access to the tools needed so that developers can quickly create highly customized applications incorporating individual aspects and components of Vbrick’s EVP, test the functionality before deploying, and if desired, securely scale to reach hundreds of thousands of users globally, without the need to manage complex code and infrastructure.

“Designing complex video algorithms that meet enterprise requirements can be a heavy burden for development teams. Vbrick VPaaS offers a turnkey solution that allows developers to accelerate deployment by focusing on their business applications and trusting the video components to us,” said Lohiya.

Developer-focused VPaaS

Vbrick’s VPaaS capabilities have been broadly used by its EVP customers. “We have customers in highly regulated industries such as government or banking that have leveraged Vbrick VPaaS to power their internal workflows while maintaining security and scalability, automotive manufacturers that have used VPaaS to provide a custom solution for communicating with their dealer network, and global technology providers that have implemented Vbrick’s technology to scale the capacity of their webinar product to reach up to 100K users.”

To ensure developers have the support they need as they engage with Vbrick’s VPaaS tools, Vbrick created a dedicated Developer Hub that serves as a source of how-to tutorials, reference materials, and videos to help developers use the platform effectively. It also includes links to new API and JavaScript SDK releases and more.
