Cisco has expanded its portfolio of specialisations which are available through the company’s partner program.

The six new specialisations focus on the biggest market opportunities for Cisco partners, such as hybrid cloud, hybrid work, secure access service edge (SASE), and more.

The solution specialisations are designed to showcase partner value to customers and highlight the different types of solutions that partners are selling in today’s market.

Marc Surplus, Vice President, Partner Strategy and Programs in Cisco’s Global Partner and Routes to Market Sales, said: “These new specialisations are aligned with the types of solutions and expertise customers are demanding.

“They demonstrate to customers that they are working with the best partners in the industry.

“We’ve designed the solution specializations to complement partners’ prior investments in Cisco and to build on their current expertise so that partners can further differentiate themselves in the market.”

According to Cisco, as it continues to increase partner sales opportunities, it wants to add flexibility to partner certification requirements and emphasise the importance of multi-architectural expertise.

Cisco has tied the new specialisations to its customer priorities and says they are designed to represent the fast-growing market opportunities for Cisco and its partners.

The six new Cisco Partner Solution Specialisations are:

Hybrid Work from Office: It is designed to recognise Cisco partners for their skills and experience in helping customers evolve traditional on-site and off-site work models. Partners must demonstrate that their solutions power hybrid work and enable people to work safely and securely from home, the office, or any other location.

Hybrid Cloud Computing: This showcases partners that provide customers with simple and secure hybrid cloud computing experiences from wherever they are working.

Hybrid Cloud Networking: Cisco now recognises its partners that securely and efficiently connect and manage customers’ data, workloads and applications across data centres, edge, and multiple clouds.

Hybrid Cloud Software: Partners can gain this specialisation by demonstrating expertise in managing operational complexity by helping customers streamline and unify IT operations with hybrid cloud management software.

Full-stack Observability (FSO): This showcases expertise in centralising and correlating application performance analytics across the entire IT stack. Partners will also be recognised for delivering superior customer experiences, driving revenue streams and accelerating digital transformation.

Secure Access Service Edge (SASE): Partners that can help customers securely enable the growing universe of roaming users, devices, and software as a service (SaaS) apps will be given this specialisation.

The solution specialisations are just one of four categories of partner specialisations available to Cisco partners.

The others include architecture specialisations, Cisco Powered Service specialisations, and business specialisations.

Cisco announced new partnerships during its WebexOne 2022 event last month, including Microsoft and Apple.

The company expanded on its partnership with Microsoft, which enables the Microsoft Teams Rooms experience on Cisco devices.

The partnership was announced during Microsoft Ignite 2022, with the first Cisco devices expected to be Microsoft certified by early 2023.
