Poly and Vyopta are exhibiting their new workplace insights partner solution at InfoComm 2023.

Vyopta’s Spaces Insights platform is being connected to the Poly Lens API to gain insights related to office space and technology.

These insights can then be used by businesses to inform their decisions as to how best to optimise their physical workplaces and real estate.

Poly also announced new AI-powered audio and video features at InfoComm 2023.

Robert Manassero, Director of Product Management, HP | Poly, said: “As companies return to the office, there’s a need for data-driven insights that help address evolving workplace needs,”

“We’re happy to be partnering with Vyopta to build and launch this functionality in North America to empower our joint customers as they seek to optimize workplace designs to enhance employee experiences in the era of hybrid work.”

The solution will locate the prime positions for endpoint devices, allowing enterprises to reduce unused square footage and even dividing meeting spaces in a way that delivers more meeting options.

Poly Lens API

The Poly Lens brings improved visibility and insights for company workspaces. It can be used by IT professionals to monitor and troubleshoot Poly devices, as well as streamline device management.

Poly has increased its API integration partners with Ubiqisense and Vyopta to provide customer insights for the Poly Studio X30 and Studio X50 video bars.

Ubiqisense offers insights into room occupancy, usage, and footfall on office floors, open spaces, meeting rooms, and shared desks.

Vyopta provides insights on space usage, unified communications device monitoring, troubleshooting, and meeting analytics.

Vyopta’s Space Insights

Vyopta’s Space Insights helps business to gain a deeper understanding of their conference rooms and huddle spaces.

Vyopta’s Space Insights product page explains that it can be used to gain actionable insights, which allow a business to free up resources, cut out inefficiencies, improve real estate spending, and plan future build-outs and deployments.

Room utilisation can be tracked via insights into room scheduling and room attendance stats and trends, with customisable views by location, organisation, and more.

Room inefficiencies can be reduced by detecting ghost and zombie missed meetings, comparisons between room capacity versus occupancy, and identifying regular booking offenders.

Finally, real estate and tech investments can be optimised by locating underused resources, understanding technology usage, and finding activity outside of calls.

Alfredo Ramirez, CEO, Vyopta, said: “We’re thrilled to work with Poly to integrate this critical endpoint data into our algorithm to uncover how meeting rooms are used both in and outside of calls.

“We’re looking forward to using this never-before-available data to provide customers with actionable insights that will enable organizations to make faster and more accurate decisions to get the most out of their technology and space investments, while providing quality collaboration user experience.”

Both Poly and Vyopta are showcasing the new functionality at InfoComm 2023 at their respective booths within the Orange County Convention Center.

Last month, Exertis partnered with Poly to deliver Exertis’s new UC platform, Exertis Voice.

In December 2022, Vyopta revealed its support for Microsoft Teams’ voice services, including Phone Plans, Direct Routing, and Operator Connect.
