Sennheiser has made its entry into the unified communications A/V bar market with the introduction of an all-in-one device series.

The products, known as TeamConnect Bar Solutions, are designed for small and mid-sized meeting rooms and collaboration spaces.

Ronja Harste, Product Manager of UC Solutions at Sennheiser, said: “At Sennheiser, we’ve specialized in superior audio quality for years, but found a strong video partner in the independent test laboratory’ Image Engineering’ to ensure that the video quality stood up to the audio quality that is synonymous with our brand.

“That led to the development of our first all-in-one device, the TeamConnect Bar Solutions, which are the most feature-rich all-in-one conferencing devices in their class.”

The TC Bar Solutions offer flexible options for both small-scale (TeamConnect Bar S) and mid-sized (TeamConnect Bar M) meeting and collaboration spaces.

These devices have been developed to address common challenges faced in such environments, boasting a range of benefits, including easy setup, seamless integration with various brands, effortless management and control, high-quality video output, enhanced security, and sustainable design.

In terms of video capabilities, the TeamConnect Bar Solutions incorporate the latest advancements to elevate modern hybrid meetings and lectures.

The 4K Ultra HD camera, combined with AI features like “Autoframing” and “Person Tiling,” enables remote participants to see all attendees in the room clearly. Advanced AI algorithms accurately capture even the subtlest gestures and facial expressions, facilitating increased meeting inclusion and engagement.

The TC Bar S features four microphones and two speakers, while the TC Bar M has six microphones and four speakers. Furthermore, these devices can be seamlessly integrated with any meeting platform and can be further enhanced by incorporating other compatible products, including those from Sennheiser.

Advanced Features

Sennheiser said it packed the devices with modern features, including powerful full-range stereo speakers with improved directivity patterns and optimized passive radiators, ensuring natural speech and outstanding intelligibility. Integrated beamforming technology enables a seamless transition between presenters and provides freedom of movement and configuration within the space.

The products can be easily integrated into various room designs using multiple mounting options such as wall mount, VESA mount, tabletop, or freestanding installations. Additionally, the devices offer scalability by using Dante for adding extension microphones and/or a second external USB camera.

Sennheiser also said it had followed industry best practices in terms of security. The devices’ configurations are password protected, and communication with the Sennheiser Control Cockpit and third-party media control systems are encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security 1.2, safeguarding against misuse. The TC Bars also support IEEE 802.1x network authentication and a lens cap is included for added privacy.
