Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) is set to distribute its Rainbow Hub around the world through its global partner network.

Rainbow Hub is a communications cloud platform for businesses of all sizes, which allows teams to communicate and collaborate from any location and device.

As an application services platform, Rainbow Hub benefits from end-to-end services, such as carrier services, through telecom operator partners within the Rainbow Carrier Connect program.

Moussa Zaghdoud, EVP of Cloud Communications Business Division at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, commented on the expanded distribution of Rainbow Hub: “This benefits our partners, who can leverage their investment in operator services, and customers, who can choose their preferred carrier services.

“With more than 20 certified operators in Europe, ALE looks forward to continued expansion of its certified partners, extending the Rainbow Hub reach.”

In order to access full cloud services a partner is required to add connectivity to the Public Switch Telephony Network (PSTN), which enables call routing and phone number assignment to users or companies.

In this way, Rainbow Hub helps partners to offer their own cloud communications services and customers to migrate seamlessly to the cloud.

Now, the rise of remote work and flexible office environments has led companies to seek out new and innovative solutions to connect teams, customers, and suppliers, according to ALE.

It believes Rainbow Hub is the perfect choice for such businesses, with the platform setting itself apart through its reliability and effectiveness.

Another big plus is its flexibility and accessibility as a solution for all businesses, as well as being unbound by device or location from a user perspective, which ALE calls “crucial” in modern working environments.

Rainbow Hub Features

Key features of the Rainbow Hub include complete unified communications functionality, rich telephony services, advanced mobility options, welcome and attendant services, analytics, and integration capabilities.

The solution also has a number of collaboration features, such as audio and video conferencing, one-to-one and group chat, file storage, and file and screen sharing. As a result, employees, partners, customers, and suppliers can easily connect, share information, and collaborate in real-time, enhancing productivity and minimising the need for long email chains and in-person meetings.

From a security perspective, Rainbow Hub is “secure by design” with rigorous security standards and all-year-round monitoring. Its robust security infrastructure allows businesses to rest assured that their communications and collaboration activities are protected.

In July this year, ALE launched Rainbow Hub in the UK, at which time Zaghdoud offered further benefits of Rainbow Hub for both partners and customers: “The introduction of Rainbow Hub to the UK market marks a significant milestone for ALE and the UCaaS industry.

“With Rainbow Hub, our channel partners can leverage their own traffic and effortlessly deploy and manage customers through our intuitive Rainbow admin interface.

“To this end, these customers can enjoy the benefits of full UCaaS services and a smooth transition to the cloud without the need for costly training or upskilling.”

The month before, in June 2023, ALE released its Rainbow Telephony for Microsoft Teams connector. The connector is designed for interfacing with the Team platform and seamlessly empowers the use of current telephony systems across any type of device, software, and environment.
