Sennheiser, Q-SYS Certified to Bring Advanced Meetings to Cisco Devices

Sennheiser and Q-SYS’s combined solution — their audio, video, and control (AV&C) Platform — has been certified for Cisco Collaboration Devices.

This certification signifies the integration of Cisco’s Collaboration Devices with Sennheiser’s TCC 2 and the Q-SYS Core Nano processor, enhancing audio connectivity and intelligent control functionalities in modern meeting and learning spaces. Cisco Collaboration Devices act as the video conferencing service, generating robust computing power to facilitate various collaboration scenarios.

In meeting rooms, lecture halls, or collaboration spaces, Cisco’s conferencing solutions users can enjoy the superior audio and automatic beamforming features of the TCC 2, overseen by Q-SYS and Sennheiser.

Charlie Jones, Global Alliance & Partnership Manager at Sennheiser, commented:

We are thrilled to see our TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone and the collaboration with Q-SYS reach new heights through this certification with Cisco Collaboration Devices. By aligning with Cisco’s conferencing technology, we are able to offer robust, seamless integrations into a wide range of collaborative environments, paving the way for more dynamic and effective communication in meeting rooms and learning spaces worldwide.”

The certification of Sennheiser and Q-SYS with Cisco’s video bars, room kits, and video conferencing systems enables smooth integration of physical and digital workspaces, fostering scalable and flexible collaboration. As part of the Cisco Collaboration Devices Partner Ecosystem, these solutions prioritize participant experience and streamline integration processes.

Covering up to 80 m², the TCC 2 is ideal for spacious meeting rooms, lecture halls, or collaboration areas. Its modern square design blends into modern meeting room aesthetics, replacing a ceiling tile for integration.

“We are excited to partner with Sennheiser to offer a certified end-to-end audio solution for high-impact spaces utilizing Cisco’s conferencing solutions,” added Vic Bhagat, Principal, Alliances at Q-SYS. “This removes the guesswork out of the room design and deployment while providing end users an enhanced collaboration experience.”

Being part of Sennheiser’s “TeamConnect Family”, the TCC 2 incorporated cable-free tables and flexible furniture arrangements. It inherits benefits from TeamConnect Ceiling Solutions, including Sennheiser Audio Quality, easy setup, brand-agnostic integration, simple management, sleek design, and sustainability.

“With Sennheiser microphones and the Q-SYS Platform meeting Cisco Collaboration Devices stringent requirements for certification, we provide our mutual customers with the best possible audio, video, and control experience,” said Espen Løberg, VP of Cisco Collaboration Devices.

How Was Sennheiser’s 2023?

In June, Sennheiser entered the UC A/V bar market by introducing an all-in-one device series — TeamConnect Bar Solutions.

The TC Bar Solutions provide flexible options for small-scale (TeamConnect Bar S) and mid-sized (TeamConnect Bar M) meeting and collaboration spaces. Developed to tackle prevalent challenges in such settings, these devices offered numerous advantages, including simple setup, compatibility with various brands, easy management and control, high-quality video output, enhanced security features, and sustainable design.

In November, Sennheiser‘s TeamConnect ceiling mic became supported by Crestron’s Automate VX’s multi-camera switching product.

The fusion of TCC M and Automate VX technology enhanced inclusivity in meetings, particularly in mid-sized collaboration spaces and lecture halls. The introduction of advanced audio and intelligent video technologies underpinned a dynamic collaboration experience.

What Has Q-Sys Been Up To Recently?

Q-SYS and Lenovo partnered to deliver the Microsoft Teams-certified Q-SYS UC Compute Bundle in December.

The Q-SYS UC Compute Bundle for Microsoft Teams Rooms streamlines designing, procuring, and deploying AV and UC products in impactful environments. Q-SYS offers room automation, automatic multi-camera switching, HDMI video distribution, and more, boosting collaboration experiences tailored to each space’s needs.

Last month, Nureva joined the Q-SYS Technology Partner Programme, enabling its products to integrate with Q-SYS and streamline audio control and camera tracking.

The programme allows technology firms to create market-ready solutions seamlessly integrated with Q-SYS, a cloud-manageable audio, video, and control platform. Nureva has launched a Q-SYS-certified plugin for its HDL310 and HDL410 audio conferencing systems (the HDL Pro Series), creating audio control enhancements to make remote experiences more seamless.
