AVer and Xilica have collaborated to design advanced camera tracking solutions to revolutionise hybrid collaboration.

The new camera tracking offerings intend to address the growing demand for smart voice-based tracking in medium and large collaboration areas, such as multi-purpose rooms, auditoriums, and classrooms.

AVer’s voice-based camera tracking solutions revolutionise dynamic presentations and lectures by ensuring all participants, whether in-person or remote, receive an immersive view of the content without requiring a dedicated camera operator. With voice tracking technology, AVer cameras empower presenters with flexibility, enabling seamless transitions between different presentation styles and ensuring ease of use for enhanced engagement.

Stanley Cheng, Vice President at AVer, said:

Xilica’s simple-to-deploy voice-based camera tracking is a great option to enhance engagement in conferencing, training, and learning spaces. We’re delighted that AVer products are supported in Xilica systems, offering our customers greater flexibility in how they use our products and opening up more ways to drive a seamless collaboration experience for end customers.”

AVer’s Pro AV Camera line integrates seamlessly with Xilica’s room audio systems, offering an intuitive, code-free audio-video experience with microphone compatibility from top brands.

Users can choose from a range of microphones, including Sennheiser’s TeamConnect Ceiling 2 and TeamConnect Ceiling Medium, Shure’s Microflex Advance MXA920, and Yamaha’s Adecia RM-CG, to tailor the audio setup to suit various room sizes and requirements within the joint room solutions.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer our partners the ability to deploy AVer’s high-quality Pro AV cameras natively within our systems,” added Shaun Robinson, VP Product at Xilica. “By combining Xilica’s easy-to-install room audio solutions with AVer’s broad range of camera products, we can offer our joint customers a comprehensive solution for any size of space.”

Sennheiser and AVer’s Collaboration in Higher Education

Last month, the University of Greenwich partnered with Sennheiser and AVer to enhance hybrid learning experiences for its students.

The higher education institution has been leveraging AVer’s cameras and Sennheiser’s audio products and services, namely its TeamConnect Ceiling 2 (TCC 2) microphone, to create an innovative “HyFlex” solution.

During the pandemic, the University transitioned to remote learning via Microsoft Teams reasonably successfully but discovered new challenges, including fatigue and decreased concentration levels. Mark Affection, Head of Digital AV Solutions at the University of Greenwich, and his AV team designed HyFlex to produce a cohesive and equitable learning experience for on-campus and remote participants.

Affection invested in AVer’s cameras because of their AI functionality in detecting, recognising, and dynamically switching video between speakers and areas. Meanwhile, Sennheiser’s TCC 2 mic was chosen as the optimal product. It could offer integration with AVer cameras through the PTZ Link software bridge, allowing the camera and microphone to detect and track the active speaker.
